With the imminent arrival of Counter-Strike 2, fans are asking many questions every day regarding all the features that, according to Valve, have not yet been revealed and will arrive in the title with its release in the summer of 2023. But, on the other hand, much has been said about the maps that will be in the game and one of the iconic maps that were such a hit in CS:GO, Cache, would return for CS2.

There is no doubt that for many of us who had the privilege of playing CS:GO from the very moment of its launch, we became attached to several maps that, as the years went by, went out of active rotation. While some like Mirage and Inferno have been practically untouchable, Cache, Train, and even Dust2 have come and gone from the official Map Pool over the years.

Now, with the arrival of CS2, we expect some of these maps to return permanently so we can continue to enjoy them just as we did on day 1.

Cache could arrive in CS2 according to FMPONE

There is no doubt that we have already noted many of the features that the new installment of Valve’s shooter CS2 brings with it. However, these are “minimal,” according to Valve, as at the time of the game’s official release, we can enjoy all of them.

On the other hand, many fans are in expectation of what are the maps that will come to the game. As we mentioned, many have been constantly rotated from the Map Pool, which makes many people feel rejected.

One of these maps is Cache because after being in CS:GO since its inception, Valve has decided to make several changes and remove it from the official map rotation. However, everything indicates that the map will get a new chance in CS2.

According to FMPONE, one of the popular map makers and creators, along with Sal “Volcano” Garozzo and Lenz “penE” Monath of Cache, the map would return in CS2.

Cache not part of the maps leaked in recent weeks

The concern in the CS:GO community is that the map does not appear in the leaks made in recent weeks regarding CS2 maps. On the other hand, let’s remember that, as the community created Cache; Valve does not have the rights to the map despite having it in their rotation for eight years.

For now, the maps that have been confirmed for Counter-Strike 2 are:

  • Dust 2
  • Mirage
  • Overpass
  • Inferno
  • Nuke
  • Ancient
  • Vertigo
  • Italy
  • Baggage
  • Shortdust

The community is impatiently waiting for the release of CS2

The community is counting the days until the summer of 2023 arrives, so Valve globally launches Counter-Strike 2. In addition to the new features shown in the different streams by those who have access to the game’s beta, there will come many more that, without a doubt, will make us glued to the game as we were in 2011.

On the other hand, it is very likely that, from now on, we will not have much news regarding new features. This is because the influx of players in CS2 has decreased, and, in addition, Valve has also not shared more access to the test with other players.

However, we will always be on the lookout for any information Valve wants to release regarding new CS2 features.
