There are still three games left to play in the online qualifiers for the Call of Duty League Major IV, yet OpTic Texas secured first place in the standings after winning all five games they played.

With this great performance in the qualifiers, OpTic is emerging as one of the favorite teams to win the championship trophy in Major IV. In addition, they also ratify that it was not a coincidence the great run they made in Major III, where they lost in the final to Toronto Ultra.

Speaking of the reigning champions, we must point out that the Ultra’s qualifiers for Major IV have been dreadful, as they only managed to win one of the five matches played.

OpTic Texas is the first team with a 5-0 record in the 2023 season qualifiers

After an extraordinary run in the online qualifiers for Major IV, OpTic Texas becomes the first team to finish an undefeated qualifier in the 2023 season.

Undoubtedly, this is a reward for the consistency and teamwork that OpTic has shown in this tournament. They crushed London Royal Ravens in the first week with an excellent 3-0. Then, they had to face two great rivals, New York Subliners and Los Angeles Thieves, whom they annihilated with an excellent 3-1.

Finally, in this last week of the qualifiers, they crushed LA Guerrillas 3-0 and then did the same against Boston Breach 3-1.

With this, OpTic Texas ensures they start Major IV in the Winners Bracket and, more importantly, are a force to be reckoned with in the race for the championship trophy. Anthony “Shotzzy” Cuevas-Castro and Cuyler “Huke” Garland have been playing at an exceptional level, and every day they prove that they have only one goal, to win Major IV.

OpTic gave no truce to an inspired Boston Breach

After losing in the first game of the qualifiers against Las Vegas Legion, Boston Breach recovered, so they managed to crush Toronto Ultra (3-2) and London Royal Ravens (3-1). Thanks to this, they came into this match with the firm conviction to take away OpTic’s undefeated record and climb to the top of the table. However, Brandon “Dashy” Otell prevented that from happening this time.

Everything started intensely in Hardpoint (Mercado Las Almas), Kyle “Kremp” Haworth, on behalf of the Breach, was doing a lot of damage to the boys of OpTic. Finally, however, thanks to several spectacular plays by Dashy, OpTic took the victory 250-193.

Then, we go to Search&Destroy (Hotel). OpTic, this time thanks to an excellent level of the star rookie, Daniel “Ghosty” Rothe, managed to take the victory 6-3. With this, OpTic was one win away from finishing undefeated in these online qualifiers.

While it is true that Boston Breach tried to react and took the victory in Control (El Asilo) with a close score of 3-2, OpTic hit back again in Hardpoint. Dashy, being again the movie’s protagonist, led his team to the 250-175 victory in Hotel and thus finished with a perfect record of these qualifiers.
