The ASUS ROG Flow Z13 is getting an official reveal in a matter of hours and, needless to say, we’re all hyped beyond measure! This year’s CES is going to be packed with mind-blowing reveals and tech announcements that’ll make our mouths water. And, well, we wouldn’t have it any other way!

Now, we’ve already reported on this peculiar hybrid device, a gaming tablet running Windows and a fairly potent APU, but what we didn’t know is that it’s going to pack AMD’s “Rembrandt” RDNA 2-based iGPUs! And that, in short, is an absolute game-changer!

The reason why is quite simple: these integrated graphics will be about as powerful as NVIDIA’s GTX 1650! So when the folks over ASUS say it’s “world’s most powerful gaming tablet” they’re not kidding. It’s not marketing hogwash nor a bit of PR — just a slice of the future. And, needless to say, we can’t wait to see it in action!

A Versatile Product Portfolio

You have to give it to ASUS — they’re really trying their hardest and want to provide gamers with as many versatile products (and ways to game) as they possibly can. The ASUS ROG Flow Z13 is undoubtedly one of their most challenging products from an engineering standpoint — there’s a good reason why no one succeeded in this endeavour in the past. Cramming in so much power inside a thin-and-light chassis is no easy task, but ASUS has made similar “breakthroughs” in the past so we’re cautiously optimistic.

Still, who would need such a device? Why not just purchase a full-fledged gaming laptop and call it a day? Well, the answer is layered, but it does make sense: someone for whom gaming isn’t a primary goal or occupation. A student, a programmer, a creative — the kind of folks who do one thing during the day and then want to wind down and decompress during the night with a bit of Apex Legends. They don’t need maxed out graphics nor the highest of resolutions; 1080p will more than suffice.

That’s where the ASUS ROG Flow Z13 comes into play: it’s a hybrid device that can satisfy basically any need such an individual can have. It’s geared towards both work and play. And while its integrated GPU isn’t going to blow anyone’s mind away, it’ll nonetheless deliver a very respectable gaming experience without generating too much heat or fan noise.

What more could you ask for?

A Slice of the Future

With all of that said, ASUS isn’t the only company that’ll be shipping such an interesting device to the market. We can expect a slew of others to follow suit; AMD will try to get their APUs in as many hands as they possibly can so expect the market to get flooded with similar products in the near future. So, if the Z13 doesn’t fit your needs, don’t fret! Alternatives are on the horizon!

The ROG Flow Z13 is going to be revealed on January 4th, so stay tuned for more coverage!
