After a terrible performance and result at Worlds 2023 with MAD Lions, it seems that Yasin “Nisqy” Dinçer would be close to leaving the Spanish team to join another LEC team.

In the last few hours, some rumors have surfaced indicating that Nisqy would have an agreement to sign with SK Gaming for the next LEC season. This news comes at a complicated time for MAD Lions and their fans, as they were sure that the experienced 25-year-old player would stay with the team.

However, MAD Lions’ terrible and disappointing result at Worlds 2023 may have led him to make this decision.

Reports claim that Nisqy would sign with SK Gaming for 2024

According to a report by Brieuc “LEC Wooloo” Seeger for Sheep Esports, the 25-year-old experienced Belgian/Turkish player Nisqy would join SK Gaming for 2024.

According to the popular esports journalist LEC Wooloo report, Nisqy would arrive to be SK Gaming’s starting mid-laner for the upcoming LEC season. If this move is confirmed, it would be the third team Nisqy has joined in the last 3 years. However, joining SK Gaming would be a step down in popularity or rank, as he was previously part of MAD Lions and Fnatic.

While it is true that Nisqy is considered a veteran or experienced player, we can still say that he is one of the best players in his role in Europe. Likewise, it is fair to mention that Nisqy has only lifted two championship trophies in his career, one in the LEC and the other in the LCS.

Rebirth of SK Gaming?

Now, Nisqy would come to a very popular organization in esports, SK Gaming, but it is no secret that they have never been a force to be reckoned with in the LEC. We can even say that, throughout history, SK is one of the teams always struggling to have some “regularity” and stay in the middle of the table.

In the same way, this does not mean that SK Gaming has always had players of low level or performance because it is quite the opposite. Stars like Oskar “Selfmade” Boderek and Juš “Crownie” Marušič have passed through this organization, but they have not been able to assemble the dreamed solid squad to fight at the region’s top.

Now, if Nisqy joins SK Gaming, there is no doubt that he will have to take a leading role within this team since he will be the most veteran and experienced player in the squad. On the other hand, it is also fair to mention that, playing for SK, he will have to deal with much less pressure, as the reality is that no one expects much from this team in the LEC.

As a result, this may help Nisqy and the rest of the players gain the confidence needed to deploy their full potential and be one of those “capped” teams heading into the LEC 2024.
