LOUD smash Fnatic and eliminate them from VALORANT Champions 2023

In the second match of the last matchday of VALORANT Champions 2023, we were pleasantly surprised to witness a phenomenal level of play by LOUD, leading them to crush Fnatic to stay alive in the tournament.

Undoubtedly, no one expected Fnatic to fall this way in this VALORANT Champions 2023. After winning VCT LOCK//IN Sao Paulo 2023 and VCT Masters Tokyo, Fnatic was the clear favorite to lift the champions trophy in this VCT Champions 2023. However, LOUD was the executioner of the British squad in the tournament since, in addition to beating them in the first round of the playoffs, they now eliminated them after going through the steamroller with them in the semifinals of the Upper Bracket.

The series was played in Split, Ascent, and Haven.

Split

It all started in Split, Fnatic’s map pick, where LOUD started to give a small sample of their excellent level of play after taking a crushing 13-4 victory. LOUD ran over Fnatic’s defense in the first half to take a solid 8-4 victory. Finally, at the change of sides, the Brazilian squad won the first 5 rounds to take the 13-4 victory and put the series 1-0 in their favor.

Ascent

Then, in Ascent, LOUD started so good again in the first half and took a 7-5 partial victory. However, this time, the British squad would not stay with their arms folded, as they managed to wake up to win the first four rounds to take a 9-7 lead. LOUD hit back and evened the score at 9-9, but it only went so far as the British squad won the last four rounds to take the 13-9 victory and even the series at 1-1.

Haven

Finally, the teams moved to Haven, a map that suits the Brazilian squad, so they proved. LOUD put up an almost impenetrable defense in the first half to take the partial victory by 8-4. Then, Fnatic won the first two rounds by switching sides to make the score 8-6. However, this was not enough, as LOUD prevented Fnatic’s reaction and managed to take the 13-7 victory to advance to the Lower Bracket Final.
