New champion Nilah now live in League of Legends

The wait for all AD Carry fans is finally over! It’s been barely two months since the last champion release, Jungler Bel’Veth, has been added and now we welcome new female ADC Nilah. The new champion is making Summoner’s Rift unsafe since July 14.

You can now buy the new melee gunner Nilah in the shop and try it out in solo queue. Her water-based abilities give her great mobility, allowing her to leap from battle to battle. With a degree of invulnerability, Nilah dances around her enemies while lashing them with her unique weapon of choice.

Nilah, the Joy Unbound

In the lore, Nilah the Joy Unbound is a warrior from a far-off land. She received her powers from a long-captive demon of joy Ashlash. After winning that fight, all her emotions were replaced with infinite happiness. With this joy she defeats the deadliest opponents from all over the world.

Nilah’s Skills

With the Shapeless Blade spell (Q), Nilah attacks with her water whip. She strikes in a straight line and can hit multiple enemies, increasing her attack range and attack speed.

Of course, the new champion shines again with impressive skills. In game, Nilah can move through teamfights, be it aggressive or defensive, very easily with her Rapids (E) ability while still dealing damage. This ability causes her to leap to the target with two charges.

With the Jubilant Shroud (W) spell, she is very good at fleeing from enemies because her movement speed is briefly increased and she dodges all normal attacks. As if that weren’t enough, the shroud also cloaks an ally when touched.

The ultimate ability, Apotheosis (R), is slightly reminiscent of Diana’s ult, which she uses to unleash a surge and swing her weapon around her. With the final discharge, she pulls her enemies into the center and is healed for a portion of the damage dealt. Excess healing is converted into a shield, so the new champion is not lacking in crowd control.

Nilah’s passive ability gives her a strong advantage over her lane opponents. On a minion kill, she gains additional experience that she shares with a nearby ally. As a result, she will consistently outlevel her opponents if she farms her minion waves cleanly. The passive also increases incoming healing and shields, making it playable with  Enchant supports.

In addition, Nilah gets one of the popular Star Guardian skins. The Summer Event 2022 for the Star Guardian series has started yesterday and, by the way, the loading screen also has a new design. Be sure to try the new champion before she gets nerfed.
