NBA 2K League 2023 to be played in Washington, DC.

New announcements regarding simulation sports, specifically the spectacular NBA 2K23 video game.

And as they have communicated on their official Twitter account, all the tournaments of the competitive season of NBA 2K League 2023 will be played in Washington, DC.

The NBA 2K League, in partnership with Monumental Sports & Entertainment, announced that the tournaments would be held in District E Powered by Ticketmaster in the US capital. This arena will soon debut in downtown DC next to the Captain One Arena.

NBA 2K League 2023 kicks off March 8, 2023, and runs through August 5. Up to $2,500,000 in prize money will be distributed in the various tournaments during the season.

District E Powered by Ticketmaster is a substantial venue with almost 14,000 square feet. Also, as mentioned, it is located next to the Capital One Arena. This venue is home to the NBA’s Washington Wizards and the NHL’s Washington Capitals.

NBA 2K League 2023 Format

The NBA 2K League is split this season into 3v3 and 5v5 halves. This means that the 3v3 tournaments of the season start next March 8 with the Slam Open. These will continue until the 3v3 finals on May 13. The 5v5 tournaments will start days later. Specifically on May 23 with The Tipoff tournament, and will end with the 5v5 Grand Finals on August 5.

Lately, the American capital has become this country’s esports capital. A few weeks ago, tournament organizer BLAST announced that the BLAST Premier Spring Finals would be played in this city.
