The fourth stage of the Call of Duty League 2023 season is over, and Los Angeles Thieves pulled off a pleasant surprise by taking down the green wall, OpTic Texas, in the grand finale of Major IV and taking home the champions trophy.
After six thrilling games, the Californian team left OpTic Texas with their second consecutive runner-up finish. In addition, the Thieves signed a completely clean run during Major IV and inflicted the only two defeats suffered by OpTic in the fourth stage.
Moreover, this victory becomes a back-to-back for LA Thieves, as let’s remember that they also won the Major IV in the 2022 season, defeating the New York Subliners with a score of 5-3.

We all expected the series to be decided in seven games, as the trend of the match and the results indicated so. However, LA Thieves had an ace up their sleeve in this series, and they pulled it out in El Asilo, which was the map that served as the venue for the Californian team to win in Search&Destroy (6-4) and Control (3-2), to take the series victory 4-2 and become Major IV champions.
