The VCT LOCK//IN Sao Paulo 2023 is over, but that doesn’t mean the organizations will rest. On the contrary, those teams that had a bad tournament are undergoing restructuring in their rosters to improve their results at the beginning of the regional leagues. T1 is one of them, as they have announced the signing of Kang “iNTRO” Seung-gyun in place of Kim “BeonJun” Beom-jun.
Today, we part ways with @BeomJunvlrt through a mutual agreement.
We wish him the best of luck in the future.금일부로 T1 VALORANT 팀의 'BEOMJUN' 김범준 선수와 상호 협의하에 계약을 종료하게 되었습니다.

With this move, iNTRO will most likely become the team’s new sixth player, as that is the only vacancy in T1 after BeonJun’s departure.
T1 announces iNTRO as the new player for VCT Pacific
On Friday, March 10, T1 announced the signing of Kang “iNTRO” Seung-gyun to its VALORANT lineup to replace its sixth player Kim “BeonJun” Beom-jun.

BeonJun has been a part of T1 since last October when the organization announced him as the sixth man for its lineup for the 2023 VCT season. However, the player was not considered for either the Ludwig x Tarik Invitational held two months ago or the recently concluded VCT LOCK//IN São Paulo.
The team’s new signing, iNTRO, will most likely fill the sixth T1 slot for the VCT Pacific, as the organization has not announced any changes to its active starting lineup.
Undoubtedly, iNTRO could bring a lot more to this T1 lineup, as he is a much more experienced player who has competed alongside the best in South Korea between the 2021 and 2022 seasons. iNTRO is known for his stints with teams such as DWG KIA and REJECT.
Not a good start to the season for T1
At the aforementioned Ludwig x Tarik Invitational, T1 could show nothing of its capabilities, as the team finished in last place after being crushed by The Guard and TSM. The last two teams belong to the NACL. On the other hand, at the VCT LOCK//IN Sao Paulo 2023 a few weeks ago, the team was crushed by FURIA Esports in the first round, falling to Pearl (13-7) and Icebox (13-7).

After not getting the expected results in international competitions, this will change in the VCT Pacific, when they face only teams from their region.
This VCT Pacific League we mentioned will be played from March 25 to May 28, 2023. The ten teams that belong to the VCT franchise system in the Pacific region will face each other to fight for the top three places in the league, which grant the ticket to the VCT Tokyo Masters and the VALORANT Champions 2023 in Los Angeles.
