Intervention sniper rifle returns to Modern Warfare 2 Season 3

With the release of Modern Warfare 2 at the end of 2022, many community members have criticized sniper rifles. While in Modern Warfare 2, this isn’t as much of an issue, as we know there isn’t the same armor system as in Warzone 2, in Battle Royale, it becomes a real nightmare not being able to take down opponents with an accurate shot from a sniper rifle.

Activision has been in the mood to listen to community feedback to implement changes to the game in future updates. Now, regarding sniper rifles, Activision has announced that the popular FJX Imperium sniper rifle will return to the game in the arrival of Season 3.

Activision confirms the arrival of the FJX Imperium in MWII Season 3

Through an official Call of Duty Twitter account announcement, Activision announced that the FJX Imperium sniper rifle is returning to the game when Season 3 launches on April 12.

In addition to the announcement, we note that it was presented through a video where YouTuber FaZe Dirty was invited to test the weapon.

Infinity Ward and Activision invited FaZe Dirty to offer help promoting the new season of MW2 and Warzone 2, which, as confirmed, will arrive next April 12. However, what surprised the YouTuber the most was the return of the sniper rifle, and we watched a short gameplay of Dirty using it.

About FJX Imperium

If you’re an old-school player of Call of Duty titles, you’ll immediately reference the FJX Imperium and the one formerly known as Intervention. This sniper rifle was popular with all players who played the original Modern Warfare 2 in 2009.

This sniper rifle was considered one of the most hard-hitting and lethal in the game, but with a slow fire rate. If players use it correctly and hit the shots, expect their opponent to drop dead to the ground immediately.

This was one of the most popular snipers in the COD community in 2009 and will be available in MW2 from April 12 in the Battle Pass. There is no doubt that this news may bring many of these rifle-loving players back to the game for this third season.
