HYDRA, the team Lefitan was part of, has decided to let the player go; this decision has been taken after many accusations about match-fixing in Dota 2.

A few hours ago, it was announced that Anatoly “Lefitan” Krupnov would no longer be part of Team HYDRA. Lefitan has recently been splashed with many accusations of cheating in matches. The team has only announced the player’s departure from the squad without explaining, but for many people, it is more than obvious what the reasons are.

HYDRA releases Lefitan following match-fixing allegation

One of the most talked about names in the match-fixing affair has been Lefitan; consequently, the Russian player has been dismissed from HYDRA.

However, Lefitan was not the only HYDRA player mentioned in the video where the match-fixing issue was revealed. In the video posted by Morf, it is mentioned that Siarhey “HappyDyurara” Kharonzhy is another player involved in match-fixing.

On the other hand, Lefitan was also accused of cheating in the EEU DPC. However, for the moment, the only consequence the Russian player has experienced is the departure from Team HYDRA.

Before Morf made public the video about match-fixing, Lefitan had the support of the team manager and different people in Dota 2. However, the evidence shown in the video and all the comments made by other professional players have led the team to decide to disassociate itself from the player.

The separation of Lefitan from Team HYDRA could be one of the first actions to be taken on this controversy that tarnishes the competitive scene of Dota 2. However, let’s remember the Russian player is not the only one accused of cheating; other players and teams are mentioned in the video.

Lefitan publicly acknowledges his mistake

Recently a message was released where the Russian player publicly acknowledges having cheated.

In the message sent via Telegram, Lefitan states that he needs to be honest about the match-fixing issue. Furthermore, the player claims that he has never worked with Anton Monetin. Who is considered to be the head of the cheating gang.

Lefitan claims that the information published in Morf’s video is not correct. However, he claims he has participated in match-fixing in the Neon and D2CL leagues.

The Russian player searching for an excuse, comments that his economic situation was not very good then, so he decided to bet to win some money. On the other hand, Lefitan claims that he had no problem with betting at that time.

In Lefitan’s message, he also claims that he placed the bets through a frontman; this person turned out to be a personal friend of Monetin. On the other hand, the player assures that no one on his team was aware of the difficult situation he was experiencing.

To conclude the message, Lefitan assures that he feels very ashamed after damaging the reputation of the team and some of his teammates. Finally, the player apologizes to the team and comments that being part of the team was fun.

In the message sent by the player, he mentions having participated in match-fixing; however, he does not respond to the endless accusations that have been made against him.

We can only wait to see if other people accused of being part of the group in charge of match-fixing suffer any consequences like Lefitan is experiencing.
