The second competitive day of European RMR B is over and two teams are already qualified for the Paris Major with perfect scores. One is Heroic and the other is 9INE.

In Heroic’s case, the result should come as no surprise. This team has been one of the best in CS:GO for a long time and everyone regarded them as a top favorite. But 9INE are underdogs who come from the Closed Qualifier and never played at an S-tier event, let alone a Major!

European RMR B current results

For several of the favorites, European RMR B hasn’t gone according to plan.

Astralis lost their first two matches and are still in the race only because of their victory against Team Spirit, who unfortunately got eliminated. Nicolai “device” Reedtz and his teammates dodged the bullet largely thanks to his phenomenal performance. He was by far the best player on the server with a K-D of 66-45 and a rating 2.0 of 1.42.

His teammate, Benjamin “blameF” Bremer, also played really well. Their next match will be against Ninjas in Pyjamas, which will be very interesting to watch. Device spent a lot of months competing for NiP and he probably wants to prove to himself that his decision to return to Astralis was a good one.

The only problem is that NiP defeated Eternal Fire in their first match, while Astralis lost against them. This suggests that the Swedes might be a bit stronger than the Danes. But we’ll find out on day 3.

Many of the strong teams are in a decent position at the moment, having a record of 2 W – 1 L. Cloud9, Team Vitality, BIG, and G2 Esports are all hoping to end their run with a success on the third day. Otherwise, they will need to win their last match to guarantee themselves a spot at BLAST.tv Paris Major.

And if they fail to win that match, they will need to play against FaZe Clan in the EU Decider Bracket, which is probably something they’d rather avoid.

Among the teams that are one step away from qualifying, there will be two tough matches. One between Vitality and BIG, and the other between G2 and Cloud9. We often see these teams competing against each other but this time, the stakes are very high. Luckily, the match format is best-of-three, so the results will be completely accurate.
