Janne “Gorgc” Stefanovski revealed the prices for slots in the DPC during a live stream covering the DPC open qualifiers.

The International champion 2022 champion Neta “33” Shapira of Tundra Esports asked Gorgc during a live stream about the cost of DPC slots. While Gorgc was hesitant to share this information due to possible non-disclosure agreements, he revealed that the DPC slot could range between $10K and $20K in the second division.

He stated that a lot of variables, such as the number of prizes awarded and the scale of the tournament, would still affect the total sum. During the discussion, the world champion, 33, confirmed that Dota 2 teams in Eastern Europe (EEU) have been selling their Division I slot for at least $30,000.

In addition, Gorgc disclosed that he initially intended to sell his team’s spot in the second tier of the upcoming DPC regional competition. In spite of this, once he discovered the Old OG stack has been assembled, he immediately abandoned the idea so that he could defeat them. Sébastien “Ceb” Debs & Topias “Topson” Taavitsainen discussed the formation of the team in an interview with OG CEO JMR Luna.

In the interview, Ceb claimed that Old G is only formed for entertainment purposes because the squad won’t be using it during the forthcoming competitive season. In addition, Ceb said he is eager to play Team Bald Reborn, led by Janne “Gorgc” Stefanovski if they manage to earn a spot in Division II of the Western European Dota Pro Circuit.

The market is always hot for DPC slot

When it comes to the buying and selling of DPC slots, Valve has not put any restrictions at all. A number of slot acquisitions have taken place before, but this season they may become more prevalent. Resurgence and T1 both sold their spots to Blacklist International and Bleed Esports, respectively, in the SEA DPC.

There were also reports that Alliance might have sold their European slot. After TI11, BetBoom revealed the line-up for CIS, although it is believed that the slot belongs to the team’s captain Akbar “SoNNeikO” Butaev, who reportedly took it over from Winstrike after leaving the organization.

Any team with significant resources searching for a chance to participate in the highest Dota competition and compete in the major tournament that is conducted at the end of each season, The International, may find that the sale of this spot offers a secure betting choice. Additionally, because there are no prizes for the bottom two spots in this league, teams run the possibility of going without compensation and being demoted after the first season.
