Astralis bombed out of CCT North Europe Series Two after losing tragically to the French underdogs Heet today in the second round, despite the team’s star AWper Nicolai “dev1ce” Reedtz having a stellar performance.

After 18 months with Ninjas In Pyjamas, star AWPer Nicolai ‘dev1ce’ Reedtz finally returned to the server during the CCT North Europe Series 2 playoffs. Although dev1ce’s Astralis return was highly anticipated, the team ended up being eliminated early in the event with a heartbreaking defeat in the quarter-final stage.

Earlier in the event, Astralis defeated fellow Danes Tricked 2-0 in the opening round of the playoffs thanks to dev1ce’s 56 kills on the two maps. Dev1ce performed brilliantly in the quarterfinals as well, recording nearly 69 kills and a 1.27 rating during the best-of-three series. Dev1ce and Men, however, were ousted from the event after failing to overcome HEET in two nail-biting overtime matches. his victory moves HEET into the semi-finals, where they will face an in-form HAVU team on December 7.

Can Astralis ever regain its previous splendor?

Dev1ce’s return to Astralis signified his reunion with Andreas “Xyp9x” Hjsleth and Lukas “gla1ve” Rossander, who were both crucial to Astralis’ prior success. With the help of dev1ce’s abilities and game knowledge, the IGL gla1ve led Astralis to four Major titles in their first stint together. Meanwhile, Xyp9x has been one of the top players on Astralis since 2021, and his fragging skills have earned him praise from many fans as well as fellow players.

Despite dev1ce’s stellar performance in the two games and four maps he played, it might take some time for him to reach his full potential. In comparison to Kristou, who subbed for Astralis at Elisa Masters Espoo, or Farlig, who used to be Astralis’ sniper, dev1ce will provide Astralis with a huge firepower boost once he’s back on top of his individual game like he was before his hiatus. The Danish CS:GO fans must be expecting that this reunion on the server will be enough to restore Astralis’ former glory.

Astralis has two illustrious CS:GO competitions lined up, with the first of them, the ESL Pro League Season 17 scheduled to take place in March. With only three months until the start of the competition, Astralis has the ideal window of time to make their formal return to the top of CS:GO. After Pro League, the Danish team will be keeping an eye on the BLAST.tv Paris Major 2023.
