The third-place finisher at the Game Changers Championship, G2 Gozen, has reconstructed their roster with four new additions to the team. Meanwhile, one of the star players of the previous iteration, Vivian “roxi” Schilling, has moved to the bench.
G2 Gozen’s 2023 In A Nutshell
In 2022, G2 Gozen was crowned the champion of the VCT 2022: Game Changers Championship. This victory placed extremely high expectations for the female squad to perform in 2023.
The beginning of the competitive year greatly reflected the girls’ capabilities, as they took the first two events of the Game Changers EMEA Stage to solidify themselves as the strongest Game Changers team in Europe in the first half of 2023.
However, the team’s performance started to decline, as they finished a disappointing fourth place at the third iteration of the Game Changers EMEA Stage. G2 Gozen had a final opportunity to prove themselves: the 2023 Game Changers Championship.
The girls looked great at São Paulo, and their form throughout the tournament looked like they were ready to win it all. However, two consecutive losses to Shopify Rebellion and Team Liquid Brazil in the deep stages of the tournament resulted in G2 Gozen’s elimination, finishing third.
Overall, it wasn’t too bad of a season, but it looks like a storied organization like G2 couldn’t accept these results and approached the new year with changes.

The new G2 Gozen roster ahead of the year is as follows:
- Michaela “mimi” Lintrup (IGL)
- Petra “Petra” Stoker
- Aleyna “Vania” Keskin
- Amy “amy” Lai
- Eda “rezq” Naz Akçocuk
- “Temphys” (Head coach)
The two members retained from the previous roster are mimi and Petra, two names that started the G2 Gozen project from the very beginning.
Vania, the first piece of the puzzle, previously played for BBL Queens, the team that won the Game Changers EMEA Stage 3 event that G2 Gozen finished fourth in.
Next on the list is amy, who was a part of Acend Rising in 2023. The Acend Rising roster did not accomplish any notable achievements but was always in contention to do so, with numerous second and third-place finishes in the European Game Changers league.
G2 Gozen took a risk on the fifth player on the roster, rezq, who is only 16 years old! This young prodigy was seen in the FUT Female roster for a short period of time, and other than that, is still rather unknown.
These five players will be under the watchful eye of coach Temphys. There isn’t too much information surrounding him, but he worked with Rebels Gaming and their Game Changers team, an esports organization owned by Manchester United Goalkeeper David de Gea.
