After two days at the latest CS:GO Major, G2 Esports and ENCE exceeded their expectations by winning their first three matches and thus sealing their qualification for the Legends Stage of the CS:GO Paris Major. This qualification only ratifies the excellent moment that both teams are currently experiencing.

On the other hand, Complexity Gaming, TheMongolz, OG, and Monte Esports will play for their lives in the next round of the Major. While Apeks and FaZe Clan are just one win away from writing their name in the Legends Stage.

paiN, Grayhound, NiP, and forZe are one win away from qualifying for the Legends Stage

After the map ban, we could enjoy a Nuke that, without a doubt, completely favored the Brazilians. Romeu “zevy” Rocco (119 ADR and 1.73 Rating) and Rodrigo “biguzera” Bittencourt (111.7 ADR and 1.60 Rating) were in charge of stopping all the offensives that COL posed in the first half. Thanks to this, the team took a comfortable 12-3 victory and then, on the T side, completed the victory with an excellent 16-4.

Grayhound’s guys beat TheMongolz as they did in the Asia-Pacific RMR Upper Bracket final. This time, however, they didn’t have to come from behind as the Australian team looked completely superior throughout to the Mongolians and came away with a 16-10 victory. Again, Joshua “INS” Potter had an outstanding game and finished with 141.8 ADR and a 1.90 Rating.

NiP took on OG, and without a doubt, they gave us a spectacular match in Mirage, where we had to enjoy an Overtime to find out the winner. Finally, thanks to a spectacular map played by Fredrik “REZ” Sterner (103.9 ADR and 1.35 Rating), NiP could win with an excellent 19-17.

Finally, the last match of the “Round 3 Mid Matches” was between Monte Esports and forZe, where the Russians prevailed against the Ukrainians and managed to take a crushing 16-6 victory. The match was played at Ancient, and Monte couldn’t do much, as Aleksandr “shalfey” Marenov was completely inspired and led forZe to a 12-3 partial victory in the first half. However, in the end, Monte could not react, and they ended up losing 6-16, and with that, they are one loss away from saying goodbye to the Paris Major.

G2 Esports annihilate Apeks to qualify for the Legends Stage

In a truly thrilling series, G2 Esports took a comfortable 2-0 win over Apeks to seal qualification to the Legends Stage of the Paris Major. Anubis and Inferno were the stages played in this series, where G2 Esports was much more than the Norwegians and managed to take the victory.

In Anubis, we saw very inspired Apeks, and even, they were very close to giving the surprise, as they won the first half by 8-7. However, at the change of sides, they could not stop the offensive of Justin “jks” Savage (105.6 ADR and 1.56 Rating) and his G2 Esports and ended up losing with a score of 10-16.

Things were completely different in the second map (Inferno), as G2 Esports managed to crush Apeks on their T-side with an excellent 13-2 that, as we all know, is very difficult to overcome. In the end, G2 took the victory by 16-3.

ENCE apply a reverse sweep against FaZe to qualify for Legends Stage

After losing in Overpass, ENCE managed to bounce back to beat FaZe Clan in Nuke (16-13) and Anubis (16-8) to seal their ticket to the Legends Stage at the Paris Major. Robin “ropz” Kool, from FaZe Clan, could not do much to prevent his team from falling, as ENCE, with spectacular collective work, was able to bring them back the series.

As mentioned, FaZe Clan started the series very strong with a 16-12 victory in Overpass, with ropz displaying a great arsenal (111.9 ADR and 1.69 Rating). However, in Nuke, ENCE woke up completely, and with Pavle “Maden” Bošković (100.7 ADR and 1.39 Rating), they managed a 16-13 win to even the series 1-1.

Finally, ENCE completed the reverse sweep in Anubis with Guy “NertZ” Iluz at his best and took the 16-8 victory to secure their ticket to the Legends Stage.
