Hours before the official start of the CDL 2023 Stage 3 Major Qualifiers, the Florida Mutineers have officially signed Kenyen “Capsidal” Sutton as their fourth player in the lineup for this season.

The online qualifiers for Major III begin this weekend, and all teams come in with firm conviction to dethrone Atlanta FaZe and begin writing a new page in the CDL storybook.

With this signing, the Mutineers hope to turn their current situation around. The team finished in last place in Major II in Boston two weeks ago.

Florida Mutineers sign Capsidal

As we mentioned in an official statement on their Twitter account, the Mutineers announced the signing of Capsidal for the third stage of the 2023 CDL. With this, the team completes its lineup ahead of the online playoffs starting on Friday, February 17.

There is no doubt that a player like Capsidal is essential for a team that wants to retake the top in the CDL, as his aggressiveness and experience in the game are spectacular. Now, the Mutineers’ lineup for the CDL 2023 Stage 3 Major Qualifiers is as follows:

  • Colt “Havok” McLendon
  • Carson “Brack” Newberry
  • Tyler “FeLo” Johnson
  • Kenyen “Capsidal” Sutton

Mutineers restructuring

A few days after the team’s 9-12 finish in Major II, the Mutineers began to wipe the slate clean of their roster. The first to be replaced was Michael “MajorManiak” Szymaniak.

A day later, the Mutineers announced two more changes. Javier “Vikul” Milagro moved to the team’s bench, while Carson “Brack” Newberry returned from the bench to the starting lineup.

Finally, on February 12, the Mutineers announced the departure of David “Davpadie” Maslowski. This left a rifleman position vacant on the team. However, this did not last long, as the team announced a few hours ago FeLo to make the perfect duo with Brack.

Future of the Mutineers

There is no doubt that with this restructuring in the Mutineers’ roster, the organization is trying to improve its position in the CDL 2023 table. The season is practically reaching its halfway point. The Mutineers are in tenth place in the table with 50 CDL points. Let’s remember that 12 teams belong to the CDL.

This new Mutineers lineup looks promising, and all players are hungry for victory, which is the most important thing. However, we will have to wait for the official debut of this new team next Saturday, when they will face the current CDL champions, Atlanta FaZe.

Capsidal was very grateful and happy for this new stage in the Florida Mutineers and said:

Officially joined @Mutineers, excited to get to work with these guys and even more excited to finally be back.”
