The 2023 CDL season is still underway despite teams being on a brief “break” following completing the 2023 CDL Major II a few days ago. However, this does not mean that the organizations are relaxed or anything like that.

The results of significant tournaments always lead teams to decide their future. We are talking specifically about changes in the lineups, as recently, we have learned that MajorManiak of the Florida Mutineers has separated from the team’s lineup. The player himself reports this on his official social networks.

Florida Mutineers and MajorManiak split up

As mentioned, 24-year-old player Michael “MajorManiak” Szymaniak parted ways with the Mutineers ahead of the CDL Major II.

The veteran Call of Duty player used his official Twitter account to break the news that he was no longer part of the Mutineers lineup for CDL Major III. The player, as we see in the Tweet above, said:

“unrestricted F/A for stage 3”

For those who do not directly understand the message, MajorManiak states that he is an unrestricted free agent for stage 3 of the Call of Duty League.

About MajorManiak

MajorManiak joined the Florida Mutineers in mid-2022 when the Minnesota ROKKRs released him. Playing for the ROKKR, the 24-year-old was part of the Minnesota squad that overcame an 0-4 deficit in the CDL Major V 2021 grand final, winning five straight maps to claim the tournament championship.

Before playing for the ROKKR MajorManiak was also part of the iconic FaZe Clan team in 2020, alongside a roster filled with the likes of:

  • Chris “Simp” Lehr
  • McArthur “Cellium” Jovel
  • Tyler “aBeZy” Pharris
  • Preston “Priestahh” Greiner

During his time with Atlanta FaZe, MajorManiak was one of the cornerstones of the organization’s great success. This is mainly in the CDL playoffs, where they lost in the finals to Dallas Empire.

In his extensive professional CoD career, MajorManiak has been one of the best clutch players we have seen. He is a very cold-blooded player who makes fantastic plays at opportune times.

Florida makes more lineup changes

After the player posted the news on his social networks, the Mutineers confirmed that they thanked the player for everything he has given to the organization and wished him the best for his future.

On the other hand, hours later, Florida announced that the 19-year-old Spaniard, Javier “Vikul” Milagro, would move to the substitute position.

Finally, Florida announced the return of Carson “Brack” Newberry to the team’s starting lineup.

Recall that the CDL is on “break” this week and will return next February 17 with the Major III Qualifiers. Florida will have a tough test in their first matchup of the online qualifiers against the reigning CDL Major II champions, Atlanta FaZe.

The Mutineers’ lineup is as follows:

  • Colt “Havok” McLendon
  • David “Davpadie” Maslowski
  • Carson “Brack” Newberry
  • Javier “Vikul” Milagro – Substitute
