After several weeks of many rumors regarding the arrival of one of the legends of the game and winner of multiple Majors, Gabriel “FalleN” Toledo, to FURIA Esports, it seems that everything is about to be confirmed in the coming hours, as the Brazilian left Imperial Esports on July 2.

This move is one of the most anticipated in the CS:GO competitive scene, as FURIA may be one of the teams with more support from the community. In addition, FalleN’s departure from Imperial only confirms all the rumors that pointed out in recent days that FURIA would have a full agreement for the incorporation of the Brazilian legend.

Now, it only remains to wait for the official announcement from FURIA, where the arrival of FalleN and, most probably, of Marcelo “chelo” Cespedes will be announced.

Imperial says goodbye to FalleN

In the last few hours, Imperial Esports announced the departure of its IGL and one of the top stars in Brazilian CS:GO history, FalleN, from its lineup. As a result, this ends a nearly two-year journey in what FalleN himself called “The Last Dance.”

This announcement comes several days after we reported that FalleN and FURIA would have a full agreement for their signing for the second half of 2023 and, of course, the transition to CS2. Furthermore, in one of Yuri “yuurih” Boian’s recent streams, the 23-year-old Brazilian said playing alongside a legend like FalleN in FURIA would be fabulous.

On the other hand, in the last hours, a new report detailing that chelo, also from Imperial, would arrive at FURIA to complete the team’s lineup.

About FalleN

All Counter-Strike fans know perfectly the skills, abilities, and qualities of “The Professor,” FalleN. While it is true that he is currently 32 years old, the Brazilian legend retains his high level of play, and there is no doubt that his leadership is something that any team would dream of having.

After many successes with Luminosity, SK Gaming, MIBR, and Team Liquid, FalleN joined Imperial Esports in February last year for a project called “The Last Dance.”. However, FalleN missed two former teammates, Marcelo “coldzera” David and Epitacio “TACO” de Melo, who had an active contract with 00 Nation.

FalleN took Imperial by the hand to the PGL Major Antwerp 2022, where they were one win away from qualifying for the playoffs. In addition, they also reached the second stage of the tournament at the IEM Rio Major 2022. While they also participated in both the ESL Pro League S17 and IEM Cologne 2022.

However, Imperial’s best result under FalleN’s tutelage came just a few weeks ago, when rumors of his departure from the team were very strong. Imperial’s excellent participation was in the BLAST Premier Spring Final, as they beat Complexity Gaming and Team Vitality. However, they lost to Heroic 1-2 in the semifinals in an excellent BO3.

Now, we are just waiting for FURIA to announce the signing of FalleN. In addition, the same Brazilian organization hinted in a Tweet that today, July 3, they would give very important information.
