EMERGE Esports has been launched, with the talent agency aiming to help develop the Singaporean Esports scene. As part of the official launch, the agency also kicked off an offline campaign centered around raising awareness of the gig economy and individual passions.

The newly launched agency already has some 40 Esports players and content creators on its books, with Dota 2 streamer Dominik “Black” Reitmeier, leading cosplayer “XIAOYUKIKO” and former EVOS SG Mobile Legends Captain Robert “Oh Deer Bambi” being among the standout names. Meanwhile, EMERGE also manages Singapore-based Esports organization Kingsmen, who compete in Valorant, PUBG Mobile and Mobile Legends Bang Bang.

What EMERGE Has Already Achieved Behind the Scenes

Meanwhile, EMERGE have clearly been working hard behind the scenes, having developed sponsorship deals with the likes of Redbull, SteelSeries, Royale Ergonomics, Partea, Embily, StashAway and Reubiks Academy. Speaking on the launch of the agency, Pang Xue Jie, Chief Gaming Officer at EMERGE Esports had the following to say:
“EMERGE is excited to be part of this journey which will pave the path for many youngsters and gaming enthusiasts to pursue a career in the esports industry. We would like to establish an ecosystem that nurtures all budding talents in this field and not just the esports athletes.

“Esports is competing closely with traditional sports, garnering millions in revenue each year. Gaming has evolved beyond a hobby for many and we believe the launch has come at an opportune time. Given its accessibility and rising popularity, it will not be a surprise if esports surpasses traditional sports in revenue in near future.”

What Other Areas Will EMERGE Operate In?

The agency’s offline marketing campaign, which will be known as “EMERGE Against All Odds”, comes from Singapore’s rag-and-bone men, who operate door to door in order to collect and recycle household items. In fact, representatives of EMERGE have already visited residents in Singapore to discuss their life goals. Pang explained the thought process behind this by stating: “the younger generation [is] settling in jobs for its source of income rather than pursuing what they are truly passionate about.”

The introduction of a dedicated Esports talent agency will certainly be a major boost for the scene in Singapore, as well as Southeast Asia as a whole. With a variety of sponsors already on board, EMERGE has all the basics in place to make a significant impact from the off.
