Donk Frustrated Because He Has No Matches Scheduled For 2 Months

The new wonderkid, Danil “donk” Kryshkovets, expressed his anger because Team Spirit has not had any official matches scheduled for almost two entire months. The team’s last match was a month ago.

Team Spirit made one of the best investments in recent Counter-Strike history by promoting two of their academy team players to the main roster. Danil “donk” Kryshkovets and Myroslav “zont1x” Plakhotja were upgraded from Team Spirit Academy to join the organization’s primary team to play with Dmitriy “sh1ro” Sokolov, one of the greatest AWPers in the world. 

Only weeks after signing the two prospects, Team Spirit showed immense improvement. In their first LAN tournament as a complete roster, the Eastern European squad dominated ESL One Katowice 2024, winning the entire event. In their miraculous run in Poland, Team Spirit only dropped one map against Natus Vincere and defeated FaZe Clan in the Grand Final 3-0. 

Donk and zont1x made their Major debut at PGL Copenhagen 2024, unfortunately losing the rematch against FaZe Clan in the Quarter Final to finish in the top eight at the tournament. Still, the roster is brimming with potential, and is a solid top-three team in the world.

Since their last match against FaZe Clan at the Major on March 29, 2024, Team Spirit has not played a single official game. They are not participating in the ongoing ESL Pro League Season 19 and are not playing in online tournaments either. 

We have gone an entire month without watching Team Spirit play the game, which is already a massive drought of donk clips. However, it gets worse, as the squad still does not have a match scheduled for another two weeks. 

Team Spirit will finally return to play for BetBoom DACHA Belgrade 2024, a $500,000 tournament featuring top teams such as MOUZ and Virtus.Pro. This tournament is scheduled for May 14 to May 19, 2024. 

Still, BetBoom DACHA is not considered an S-Tier tournament, as big names such as Na’Vi, FaZe Clan, G2, and Vitality will not participate. These top ten teams are busy playing in ESL Pro League Season 19, which ends on May 12, 2024; not enough time to transition between the two events. 

The majority of the world’s top ten teams will reunite for IEM Dallas 2024, which will begin on May 27, 2024. 

Fellow superstar Ilya “m0NESY” Osipov understands donk’s dissatisfaction. The sniper feels that donk is wasting his current peak form, and the organization needs to continue playing official matches to keep his form in check. 

All Donk can do at the moment is grind FACEIT games. He is currently ranked second in the FACEIT European leaderboards, with 4,394 ELO. Donk is only 19 ELO points behind m0NESY, who is ranked first.
