ChYuan Added to Fnatic’s Dota 2 Roster

Ng “ChYuan” Kee Chyuan has signed for Fnatic, with the Malaysian Dota 2 pro having now completed their lineup ahead of the Dota Pro Circuit getting underway. The mid laner was previously part of Team Aster, before being moved to their inactive roster in August last year, following his decision to move away from the Chinese scene.

ChYuan last competed under the banner of ZeroTwo, with his stint their coming during the first season of the SEA Regional League Lower Division. With the help of ChYuan, the team managed to register a sixth place finish. His move to Fnatic will see the 25-year-old make the switch from the mid lane to the off lane.

Why ChYuan Will Switch to the Off Lane

The veteran has played mid-lane for his entire career, with it remaining to be seen as to how a change to position three will work out for both himself and Fnatic. Fnatic recently announced that off laner Natthaphon “Masaros” Ouanphakdee had been moved to their inactive roster, a decision which came about off the back of the ONE Esports Singapore Major. Fnaic were hugely disappointing at the event, finishing in a tie for 9th position. The team lost both series’ after qualifying for the playoffs automatically as a seed.

When Will ChYuan Debut for Fnatic?

ChYuan’s arrival at Fnatic will see him team up with Kam “Moon” Boon Seng once again, who is their current mid laner. The duo were part of the WarriorsGaming. Unity team in 2017. ChYuan also experienced placing with Raven in Lotac, coming shortly before his switch to Aster. He made his Dota 2 debut back in 2017 for Team Bazaar.Youth, having also played for Geek Fam and Lotac.

Fans will get to see how ChYuan and Co get on when they compete in the SEA Regional League Upper Division Season Two, an event which gets underway on April 14 and ends on May 20. With Fnatic not featuring in the opening week, we will have to wait until April 21 to get a glimpse of ChYuan in the organization’s colors.
