The newest kid in the VCT Pacific block says they’re ready to prove they deserve their hard-earned slot in the Pacific region’s top competitive VALORANT league.
Jaccob “yay” Whiteaker, who now plays for Bleed Esports, says, he’s been training a lot with his new teammates: Derrick “Deryeon” Yee, Natchaphon “sScary” Matarat, Javier “Egoist” Chua Dong Qing, and team captain Ngo Cong “crazyguy” Anh.
“I would say we’ve spent a lot of time trying to build up this synergy. I started bootcamping with them, I wanna say, like 3 or 4 months ago, way before we even had like the Japan tournament,” says yay.
Yay, oftentimes known as “El Diablo” for his fiery performance back in the NA VALORANT circuit, brings with him valuable S-Tier tournament experience to Bleed, who is the newest team to join the already stacked VCT Pacific team roster.
Bleed won last year’s VCT Ascension Pacific tournament, 3-0 versus SCARZ, to have a two-year stint in the top-tier VALORANT competitive tournament in the region for two years.
El Diablo himself was part of the OpTic Gaming team that placed second in Champions 2022 against Brazilian team Loud.
Whiteaker added, “We’ve been spending a lot of time boot camping and just working everything out, trying to figure out what comms and just how all the rules are gonna work. So I would say, we’ve figured out, I think a pretty nice balance, and I hope to showcase that in the coming matches.”
Bleed Esports will have their hands full of competition in Group A of VCT Pacific, where they will join T1, Zeta Division, and Global Esports in the bracket beginning February 17 in South Korea.
