BetBoom Dacha Dubai 2024 Favorites

The qualifiers for BetBoom Dacha Dubai 2024 are over and we now know all of the 12 participants. All of them are strong teams who were either directly invited or had to survive challenging qualifiers. But among them, a handful are vastly better than the rest.

BetBoom Dacha Dubai 2024 is scheduled to take place in Saudi Arabia between February 4 – 16. Its prize pool is $1 million, so everyone will try their best to win.

China’s representatives

The biggest question mark is the Chinese teams. There are three of them in total and all of them have at least one or two superstar players.

For LGD Gaming, Zhang “y`” Yiping is the man who can bring them the title. He’s been with the team from 2020 and he’s a former TI champion and Riyadh Masters champion. On two other occasions, he finished TI in the top 3.

Xtreme Gaming’s roster is composed of new and former players. The most important member of this team is Wang “Ame” Chunyu, who is widely regarded as the best position 1 player in China.

The 3^rd Chinese team that will compete in BetBoom Dacha Dubai is Azure Ray. Last year, they finished 4^th at The International. Unfortunately for them, Yang “chalice” Shenyi and Lu “Somnus” Yao decided to leave immediately after. But Xu “fy” Linsent has remained, and he is the one who has in-depth knowledge about drafting and strategies.

We’ll have to see which of these three teams performs the best at the tournament. At the moment, it’s very challenging to make a prediction. They might be better than the European teams or they might be far worse.

Favorites

Based on the results from the previous season and the roster changes that happened since then, it’s clear that BetBoom Dacha Dubai 2024 will almost certainly be won by one of these three teams:

• Team Spirit
• Gaimin Gladiators
• Team Liquid

Team Spirit

Team Spirit needs no introduction at this point. They won The International 10 and 12, as well as Riyadh Masters 2023. Their roster was changed only once in three years, which gives them a huge advantage over most of the other competitors.

Gaimin Gladiators

Gladiators won all of the DPC Majors last year, as well as three other S-tier tournaments. In a single year, they went from having almost no winnings to having more than $3.8 million in winnings from tournaments alone.

Their roster is still intact and the expectations for 2024 are high. It remains to be seen if they can play as they did in 2023.

Team Liquid

Team Liquid was one of the strongest teams in Dota 2 last year and they only made one roster change. Ludwig “zai” Wahlberg left and he was replaced by a TI champion, Neta “33” Shapira. This makes them an easy favorite at BetBoom Dacha Dubai 2024.
