Atlanta Reign has been the first team to make moves ahead of the 2023 Overwatch League season this offseason.

On December 24, the organization announced on its official Twitter account that they had signed a pair of Supports players for the 2023 OWL season, Joon “Fielder” Kwon and Hyeon-Seok “Chiyo” Han.

Fielder and Chiyo know each other inside out

A plus point for the players in this signing by Atlanta Reign is that they come from competing under the Dallas Fuel banner, so they know each other perfectly.

The duo wreaked havoc in the Overwatch League last season with Dallas Fuel. Recall that the team managed to take the championship trophy after beating San Francisco Shock in the grand final, in one of the best games we have seen in recent times.

There is no doubt that both players come to this new lineup to recreate the success they had in 2022. In addition, it should be noted that these players are considered some of the best Supports in the league.

About Fielder

Joon “Fielder” Kwon is a South Korean player who is only 20 years old. His beginnings in Overwatch date back to 2017 with team GameHome Monster, when he was only 15 years old.

Then, in 2020, the player took the giant leap to enter the Overwatch League with team Paris Eternal. Again, Fielder managed to impress all the fans, players, and commentators; in short, he impressed everyone in his debut season thanks to his excellent performances.

It should be emphasized the fact that the most impressive thing was that he played with an incredibly high ping.

His stint with Paris Eternal only lasted a year, as Fielder decided to move across the pond to the United States to play for the Dallas Fuel.

This did not make this great player take his foot off the accelerator, as he went on to achieve many successes, to the point of winning Role Star awards in both years with the Fuel.

About Chiyo

Hyeon-Seok “Chiyo” Han is also a South Korean player who is only 19 years old. Like Fielder, he got his start in Overwatch when he was 15 years old, playing for the VX Gaming team.

After spending several years in second-tier Overwatch and achieving great success in the Korean Contenders, he was signed by Dallas Fuel for the Overwatch League 2022.

The start of the season did not go as Chiyo expected. After being used to having the spotlight on him and having great performances in matches, well, he had a tranquil start. But it should be noted that the second half of the season was completely different.

Chiyo stepped up in the team and was rewarded with a Role Star award alongside Fielder.

Atlanta Reign

Team Atlanta Reign has virtually wiped the slate clean to round out its lineup for the 2023 Overwatch League to have much more consistent performances.

Fielder and Chiyo join Jun “Vigilante” Kim in the Atlanta Reign backline.

The Atlanta Reign lineup looks as follows:

  • Hawk – Tank
  • Vigilante – Support
  • Stalk3r – DPS
  • LIP – DPS
  • Fielder – Support
  • ChiYo – Support
