Now that we’ve kicked off 2023, the Apex Legends SpellBound Collection event is coming soon to the game, bringing new features, collection items, private matches, the Seer’s Relic, and more.

During the Apex Legends SpellBound Collection event, players will once again have the opportunity to obtain the Seer’s new Heirloom called Showstoppers by unlocking 24 new cosmetic items.

About Apex Legends SpellBound Collection

Apex Legends, the SpellBound Collection event will last for two weeks, starting on January 10 and ending on January 24.

Spellbound Collection rewards

The Spellbound Collection event brings 24 new cosmetic items to the game, all with a magic and enchantment theme. Players can unlock the cosmetic items throughout the event by individually crafting them with Crafting Metals or purchasing them with Apex Coins.

Players will also have the opportunity to receive free rewards through the two-reward tracker.

Control LTM mode returns

The 9v9 Control LTM mode will return during the event. In addition, players will be able to enjoy the following maps throughout the event:

  • The Storm Point Barometer.
  • World’s Edge Lava Siphon.
  • The Hammond Labs of Olympus

Private Matches

With the arrival of this update, players will now have the opportunity to add their friends to their lobbies and host their private matches. If you like to enjoy time with friends, this should be an interesting change for you.

Spellbound Collection Event patch notes

Besides a decent portion of new content, the update also brings a couple of balance changes:

Crafting Rotation

  • G7 Scout enters the crafter
  • A.R. SMG enters the crafter
  • Spitfire returns to the floor
  • Peacekeeper returns to the floor

Anvil Receiver Hop-Up

  • Limb damage multiplier reduced to 0.75 (from 0.9)
  • Flatline damage reduced to 39 (from 43)
  • R301 damage reduced to 32 (from 35)

G7 Scout

  • Damage reduced to 32 (from 34)

Prowler Burst PDW

  • Damage increased to 15 (from 14)

Sentinel

  • Now requires one shield cell to Energize (from 2)

Bug fixes

  • Fixed mirage decoys not displaying the shield regeneration effect when near a Wattson pylon or in Control or Pistol modes.
  • Ten new welcome challenges have been added to help new players learn Apex.
  • Character switching at the range now has a smoother third-person transition.
  • Fixed an issue with skill previews when entering phase portals.
  • Reduced the visual effects of the Caustic gas flash.

End of the Year Sale: five days to go

Before the SpellBound Collection Event kicks off, there’s still an ongoing End of The year Sale, which offers legendary recolor skins for Wattson and Loba known as “Kawaii Kitty” and “Hell Bent”, along with the Wraith’s legendary “Rift Stalker” skin.
