MOONTON wants to expand Mobile Legends: Bang Bang esports on a global scale

As MOONTON strives to expand the game internationally, comes the news that MSC 2023 is now a global competition.

Since its launch in 2016, MLBB has gained a lot of popularity. However, much of it is concentrated in SEA. Over the past year, the developer has been working to counter this trend and investing in additional regions. These include North America, Turkey, Africa, and the Middle East.

Last year, MOONTON also hosted the first MLBB esports LAN in North America in Las Vegas.

According to MOONTON, MSC’s growth will not end with adding three more regions in 2023. According to the MLBB esports roadmap, the competition will eventually grow to include a global tournament mid-season.

MOONTON Games Regional Director of Esports, Sophie Guo, said:

“The transition for the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Southeast Asia Cup into a global mid-season tournament has been planned in the pipeline for some time, and this year is a good start to kick-starting the transition. In line with our mission – Esports for Everyone; we wanted to provide these budding regions more opportunities to compete internationally and will gradually look to upscaling the tournament model in the future.”
