Popular Twitch streamer, Felix ‘xQc’ Lengyel has signed a $70 million deal with Kick. For those who don’t know, Kick has emerged as a rival streaming platform for Twitch following its crackdown on gambling. Here is complete information about the deal.

Deal worth $70 million which could reach $100 million

As per reports by, The New York Times, the deal has been split as follows: $35 million for each year till a 2-year contract. Although it sums up to $70 million only if xQc achieves certain benchmarks then this deal could easily reach an eight-digit benchmark ($100 million) with the help of incentives.

According to xQc’s agent, Ryan Morrison, he considers the streamer’s contract with Kick to be an extraordinary talent deal, ranking among the top 25 deals of all time, including sports. What sets this deal apart is its non-exclusivity, allowing xQc to stream on other platforms. Despite this, he intends to maintain a presence on Twitch, albeit not to the extent he has in the past.

Following this deal, xQc stated that he is very happy about this development with Kick as they have promised to allow him to try things which was not the case previously. Over the year, he will bring fresh and creative ideas to the table.

Kick’s user traffic reached 50 times original

With the following announcement of xQc’s arrival on Kick, the platform surges in demand. More than fifty times the original traffic counts hit the site causing the platform to down for some time. Kick has also acknowledged this and thanked the fans for this overwhelming response. No doubt, the xQc has an immense fan following, and active engagement. At the time of writing, the platform is still down and the maintenance team is resolving the issue.

Other streamer reaction on xQc Kick deal

The recent partnership has sparked intriguing reactions from popular streamers. Matthew “mizkif” Rinaudo, boasting over 2 million followers on Twitch, boldly stated, “Twitch is done, and not just on Twitch.”

Additionally, Zack, known as Asmongold, with over 3.4 million Twitch followers, gave a nod to Kick, which was duly acknowledged by the platform itself. Should this teasing gesture lead to an actual switch, it would be yet another instance of a prominent streamer drawing tens of thousands of viewers away from Twitch.

The future of Twitch remains uncertain, leaving questions about potential retaliatory moves, such as signing more streamers to exclusive contracts with the platform.

Kick has received financial support from online gambling companies like Easygo Gaming and Stake.com. Taking advantage of Twitch’s crackdown on gambling promotion last year, Kick has become an attractive choice for creators due to its more relaxed rules and a favorable 5/95 revenue split.

Although Kick’s profitability and future plans are unclear, it has successfully taken advantage of the dissatisfaction with Twitch and has been aggressively pushing for the monetization of its content creators. As a result, popular streamers like Adin Ross, BruceDropEmOff, and Trainwreckstv have found refuge in Kick as an alternative platform.
