BLAST Fall American Showdown 2023: Complexity came from behind to beat FURIA Esports

The second match of the semifinals of the BLAST Fall American Showdown 2023 left us with an extraordinary victory by Complexity against FURIA Esports by 2-1 to become the second finalist of the tournament.

FURIA continues to show many problems in important matches, and, most likely, the team will consider making some changes in the lineup sooner rather than later. Also, the arrival of Gabriel “FalleN” Toledo has not yielded the expected results, so we are waiting to see what will happen.

On the other hand, Complexity shows, once again, that the team is at an excellent level of play and that they will fight tooth and nail for that ticket to the BLAST Premier: Fall Finals 2023.

Complexity apply a reverse sweep to beat FURIA Esports

We expected an intense, exciting, and highly anticipated match, and the teams did not disappoint. FURIA started the series extremely well, with a win on the first map. However, Complexity woke up and struck back immediately to complete a reverse sweep and seal their qualification to the tournament’s Grand Final.

The series took place on Overpass, Nuke, and Inferno.

Overpass

It all started on Complexity’s map pick, Overpass, where FURIA showed spectacular mettle and coordination to take the win in a truly comfortable fashion.

In the first half, the CT Side of FURIA was very good, and, with Kaike “KSCERATO” Cerato and Yuri “yuurih” Santos at their best, they managed to take an excellent partial victory by 11-4. Then, in the second half, COL attempted to wake up, but there is no doubt that it was insufficient, and they conceded by 7-16.

Nuke

In the second map, Nuke, things radically changed their course because COL could even make the series 1-1 on the FURIA map pick.

It all started with an impressive defensive approach by COL, which prevented practically all Brazilian approaches. As a result, the first half ended with a partial score of 10-5 in favor of Complexity.

Then, at the change of sides, FURIA tried to wake up winning interesting rounds thanks to an excellent defensive deployment of yuurih. However, these efforts were in vain, as COL took the victory by 16-14, thus equalizing the series 1-1.

Inferno

Finally, the teams met at Inferno to define the second finalist of this BLAST Fall American Showdown 2023.

In the first half, FURIA started extremely well on their T Side, taking an excellent partial victory by 9-6.

Then, at the change of sides, things remained the same initially.FURIA won the first 3 rounds to get ahead on the scoreboard by 12-6. However, at this point, Ricky “floppy” Kemery woke his teammates at COL to start winning round after round to come from behind and take a 16-14 win.
