One of the early favorites in Modern Warfare III, the BAS-B battle rifle is a marriage of both flexibility and firepower, with the platform being based on the XM7 Carbine, seen as the US military’s successor to the legendary M4 Carbine.

Its .277 round can be heavy hitting with the right recoil control attachments, and while it had received some nerfs during the limited release, this build can help you harness the power of the battle rifle for standard play! 

 

 

MUZZLE: VT-7 Spiritfire Suppressor (unlocked by leveling the DG-58 LSW to Level 9)

The BAS-B can benefit from one of the more popular suppressor choices in the game, the VT-7 Spiritfire Suppressor. This mod balances bullet velocity with its core benefit: recoil control – a must to control the heavy .277 round’s tendency for recoil bounce.

UNDERBARREL: Bruen Heavy Support Grip (unlocked by leveling the Striker SMG to Level 8)

The BAS-B’s recoil will also be mitigated through the use of the Bruen Heavy Support Grip – an attachment which ensures overall horizontal recoil control and firing aim stability. The grip also does not employ any sprint-to-fire penalties, adding further to the mobility and handling that the platform provides.

 

MAGAZINE: 45 Round Mag (unlocked at Level 19)

While the magazine reload time may be slow, the 45 round magazine rewards the BAS-B user with a generous amount of .277 ammunition to expend on various targets in the close-to-mid range area. Use the heavy firepower of this ammunition caliber to ensure faster armor breaking times as well as quick kills for unarmored targets!

OPTIC: Corio Eagleseye 2.5x (unlocked by either leveling up the MCW 6.8 to Level 8 or the DM56 to Level 19)

Undoubtedly a favorite of meta builders in Warzone’s PC version, the Corio Eagleseye has the best balance of range, visual shake control, and ADS time that will allow the user to aim at the mid-to-long range category. Use the scope to engage whether in short or mid-range engagements and spot targets with its simple yet effective 2.5x magnification.

 

STOCK: Bruen Minuteman Stock (unlocked at level 28)

The stock that can give the best benefits for BR-focused BAS-B users, the Minuteman Stock balances idle sway reduction, recoil control, and firing aim stability in one package.

OPTIC: Slate Reflector [to replace Corio Eagleseye] (unlocked by leveling up the Striker to Level 12)

If you want a more close-quarter oriented optic for your BAS-B, the Slate Reflector provides a very small blue-dot reticle with a wide field of view.

 

BARREL: Crippling Malice Light Barrel [to replace VT-7 Spiritfire] (unlocked at level 20)

This barrel build focuses on transforming the BAS-B to a personal defense weapon or PDW capable of firing full-power battle rifle ammunition. If you aim to use the BAS-B as a sniper-support secondary focusing on close range battles, then this barrel is for you!
