One of the newer additions to both Warzone Mobile and Modern Warfare III, the AMR9 is proving to be a flexible SMG that can work well as a close-range, stable shredder. The AMR9 is based off of the Colt 9mm SMG Model 635, itself a derivative of the XM177 design – the precursor of the now-ubiquitous M4 carbine.

What are some of the best attachments for this fast-firing and easy-to-handle SMG? We tested it out during current play and found this build to work!

UNDERBARREL: DR-6 Handstop (unlocked by leveling the WSP Swarm to Level 23)

This grip helps capitalize on the potential of the AMR9 as a close-quarter shredder by improving on ADS and sprint-to-fire times, as well as increasing the movement speed.

BARREL: Tectonic Micro Integrated Suppressor (unlocked at Level 16)

This small, stubby barrel contributes to the specialty of the AMR9 by greatly increasing sprint-to-fire and ADS times, as well as aim walking speeds. In turn, this allows you to engage enemies at closer distances.

MAGAZINE: 50 Round Mag (unlocked at Level 14)

The AMR9’s quite fast fire rate can easily shred opponents, especially at close range. This rapid fire rate will leave you hungry for more ammunition to bring down opponents in intense, close quarter gunfights. Use the 50-round drum mag attachment to make the most out of your AMR9’s CQB potential!

 

REAR GRIP: Phantom Grip (unlocked at Level 25)

The Phantom Grip further increases ADS and sprint-to-fire times at the cost of some flinch resistance.

 

OPTIC: Nydar Model 2023 or Slate Reflector 

In place of a laser, the Nydar Model 2023 or Slate Reflector can help AMR9 users focusing on ADS to have a much clearer sight picture and lesser visual recoil. This can help for faster and more precise target acquisition, especially in those crucial final zones.

 

OPTIONAL REPLACEMENTS:

AMMUNITION: 9mm High Grain Rounds (unlocked at Level 29)

9mm High Grain Rounds can be used to further increase the potency of your AMR9 by adding a range and damage buff per shot, at the cost of some recoil control. Use in conjunction with a recoil control handstop.

UNDERBARREL: XTEN Phantom-5 Handstop (unlocked at level 13)

This handstop may help in controlling the AMR9 high grain rounds’ recoil while overall not impacing ADS times that much.
