The Russian organization Virtus.pro has acquired Alexandr “krylat” Krylatov, the former carry for Team Empire Hope, to replace Kamil “Koma'” Biktimirov as the team’s primary carry on the Dota 2 roster.

Virtus.pro has acquired former Team Empire Hope player Alexandr “krylat” Krylatov to complete its roster ahead of the new season. The move follows the permanent suspension of former carry Kamil “Koma” Biktimirov for account sharing and using a false identity during an online tournament. The organization was consequently obliged to locate a replacement as soon as possible before the forthcoming season.

Krylat is mainly remembered for his run with PuckChamp, which cemented him as a formidable carry player in Eastern Europe Division II. The carry player made many impressive runs with PuckChamp before getting picked up by Team Empire Hope during the recent off-season. The 25-year-old carry has played in many tier-2 events, but he has little experience in top-tier competitions. As a member of Tempo Esports, Krylat participated in ESL One Germany 2020, his first and only tier-1 event.

Valve has allowed Virtus.pro’s emergency addition following a meeting with the organization. Now that the Virtus.pro roster has been reinforced again with a new carry, the team will start prepping for the DPC EEU 2023 Tour 1: Division I, which is scheduled to begin on January 9.

Koma responds to the ban

Koma’s permanent suspension shocked the organization, but it wasted no time in finding a competent successor for the carry role, according to Alexander “StrangeR” Solomonov, the head of Dota 2 at VP. Koma, on the other hand, apologized for the account-sharing incident that resulted in his ban in a statement that was released after his suspension. The 20-year-old carry player admitted that he was engaged in the account-sharing activity and keeping this information hidden because he wanted to join Virtus.Pro.

Along with taking accountability and expressing regret for his wrongdoings, he also urged Valve to reduce his sentence. In addition to Koma, nine other users were also banned for account sharing, and some of the players have provided their versions of events. Yaroslav “Limitless” Parshin described the entire incident as a stupid mistake brought on by greed and the challenges of leading a life dependent on prize money in a recent interview with escorenews.
