Esports organizations worldwide continue to announce different roster changes for the 2023 season. Surprisingly, we have seen many more roster changes at the beginning of the year than in previous years. With this, we note that each organization has set the bar high according to their divisions’ expectations.

In this opportunity, we move to the Overwatch League, where we have noticed few changes, but some organizations have started to move very early on. While some teams have not yet confirmed their lineups for the OWL, we have that others are finishing forging their dream teams to fight for everything this season.

Houston Outlaws sign Viol2t for OWL 2023

The Houston Outlaws have announced the signing of former San Francisco Shock Support and two-time OWL champion Park “Viol2t” Min-ki.

The organization refers to Viol2t as “The final piece of the puzzle.”. This indicates the Houston Outlaws transfer market is closing for the 2023 Overwatch League season.

About Viol2t

Park “Viol2t” Min-ki comes from playing for the last four years of his career with the San Francisco Shock, a team he joined at the end of 2018 from Challengers division team O2 Ardeont.

This player was key for the Shock during the two championships won in 2019 and 2020. In addition, Viol2t is known for his excellent skill with support heroes, especially with flex.

However, the fact that Viol2t performs excellently with flex and other heroes, such as Ana and Zenyatta, does not mean he has only one role. On the contrary, this is one of the few players who can jump between roles thanks to his excellent play style flexibility. Let’s remember that for a moment, he played in the DPS position in the Shock when the game’s meta changed.

Viol2it’s role in the Outlaws

Now, thanks to his excellent ability to switch roles, it is likely that Viol2t will adopt his role now with Lúcio in the Outlaws. It should be noted that Kim “Shu” Jin-seo, former Los Angeles Gladiators player and experienced flex support, is also in this new lineup.

Although Houston announced that their team was complete with the signing of Viol2t, the reality is that it is still not 100% complete. Remember that one of the OWL regulations is that each team must sign six players “before the season starts.”. However, the team is ready to overcome the first barrier or limit imposed by the OWL, which is to have five players on the team before March 13.

Now, the Houston Outlaws lineup for the 2023 OWL season is as follows:

  • Park “Viol2t” Min-ki
  • Kim “Shu” Jin-seo
  • Lee “Happy” Jung-woo
  • Oh “Pelican” Se-hyun
  • Lee “Fearless” Euiseok

As a reminder, the 2023 OWL season starts with the Pro-Am tournament on March 23. In this tournament, teams from the West region and some selected Overwatch Contenders will be included.
