Starting out as defenders, DFM decided to heavy stack A side of the map in pistol round which actually turned up in their favor with early picks. DFM also get away with the follow-up round as DRX decided to completely opt out of the buys. However, DRX’s full buy in 3rd round helped them to take over DFM’s bonus round. After a few more exchanges and close encounters, DFM finished the first half 7-5 score surprising everyone. Notable, Korean Jett Park “Seoldam” Sang-min was hard to control with 15 kills in the first half itself.

Although DFM displayed resilience in the first map of Fracture, they were completely outclassed by DRX on Ascent. DFM struggled to get on the scoreboard, taking five rounds to get their first point. Meanwhile, DRX continued their relentless counterattacks, overpowering their opponents. DFM managed to win only three rounds in total, a below-par performance on a map typically favored by defenders. The first half of the match ended with a scoreline of 9-3, with DRX firmly in control.
