The second week of the VCT Pacific League has finally concluded after multiple intense and action-packed matches. DRX, T1, Gen.G, and Team Secret registered their second win in the table, while teams like Global Esports, DFM, RRQ, and Talon are still looking to start their tally.
Zeta Division outshine RRQ
In the second week’s first match, we witnessed a neck-to-neck battle between Japanese and Indonesian representatives. Although ZETA were the favourites from start, RRQ surprised by securing the first map of Haven with a 13-10 score. In the second map of Ascent, Zeta pulled off a comeback and tied the overall score 1-1.
The matchup moved into the final map Lotus as the decider. Unfortunately, RRQ were looking completely unprepared for this map, while Zeta’s calls were on point and precise. Finally, Zeta secured this map with dominating 13-5 score and close the match at 2-1. With this win, Zeta compensated for their last match’s one-sided defeat by DRX.

T1 crush Talon Esports
The first day of Week 2 concluded with one more dominant win over the Southeast Asian team, as T1 completely thrashed Talon Esports with a 2-0 score. We got to witness only two maps — Ascent and Haven.
On Ascent, Talon put at least a fighting effort to contain T1 or better say Ha “Sayaplayer” Jung-woo storm, who unleashed his beast form on Jett and dropped 22 frags at 284 ACS. T1 secured the first map easily, with a score of 13-8.
Nothing new to explain on the second map as Sayaplayer continued his form, although this time he got Xeta support as well. The second map of Haven finished as a one-sided win for T1 with at 13-6.

Team Secret surprise Paper Rex
The rivalry between Team Secret and Paper Rex is not something new. In fact, it has been observed by Asian VALORANT fans since the early banner of Bren Esports. Considering the results of their past encounters against Team Secret, Paper Rex were a fan favourite from the start. But this time around, Team Secret looked well-prepared. After conceding the first map Haven (11-13), Team Secret outshone Paper Rex on both of the following maps: Fracture (13-11) and Split (13-10).
Let’s not forget to mention that the fight that Jing Jie “Jinggg” Wangput up for his team was commendable — he dropped a total of 61 frags with 266 ACS. All three maps were closely contested, but the result favoured Team Secret with a 2-1 score.
Two weeks straight of being served some heavy hitters, @teamsecret keeps feasting 🍽
Can they keep this up against the rest of #VCTPacific? All eyes are on them now.

Gen.G register their second win after defeating DetonatioN FocusMe
The match between Gen.G and DentonatioN FocusMe ended with Gen.G clinching the victory by 2-1. The first map, Lotus, was a closely contested battle between the two teams, with Gen.G eventually emerging as the winner with a score of 13-8. However, DentonatioN FocusMe came back strongly on the second map, Fracture, dominating Gen.G with a score of 13-4.
The final map, Pearl, was another close encounter, but Gen.G managed to hold their nerve and win the map by a score of 13-8 to secure their place as the victors of the match. While Seo “Suggest” Jae-young from DentonatioN FocusMe played brilliantly, it was the team play from Gen.G that made all the difference in the end.
Went all the way to Pearl, GenG still took the dub ✅

Global Esports suffer another disappointing defeat but this time against DRX
No doubt, DRX are one of the top contenders for VCT Pacific title holders. On the other hand, Global Esports started their campaign by tasting defeat against T1. In their closely contested match, DRX emerged victorious.
Global Esports put a good show on opponent map pick Haven, but it was DRX’s Jung “Foxy9” Jae-sung who was a difference maker. With 30 Kills and 360 ACS, he completely annihilated his opponents. And although Global Esports had opportunities to win some rounds, small mistakes proved to be a barrier for them. The map finished with a 13-11 score for DRX.
Moving into GE’s map pick Split, I had some doubts from start regarding this map pick. This is not the first time GE decided to go with Split despite continuous setbacks since VCT LOCK//IN. Nevertheless, it’s up to the coach to decide, but this was the map, resulting in quite a long watch for the fans. Overtime was followed by another overtime until this game finally ended 17-15 for DRX.
