The second week of the VCT EMEA League is already underway, and we enjoyed the match between FUT Esports and Team Vitality, where the Turkish team scored their second victory of the season with a score of 2-0.
With the defeat suffered in this match, Team Vitality fell for the first time, making us think we would have a spectacular tournament with several teams fighting at the top of the table. On the other hand, FUT Esports showed enviable determination by starting this match as the underdogs.

FUT Esports surprises and crushes Team Vitality
As mentioned, the Turkish squad, FUT Esports, came in as underdogs to win this match. However, thanks to a spectacular series by Konur “qw1” Şahin and Ata “ATA KAPTAN” Tan, they were able to overpower in just two maps a Team Vitality that looked very uncomfortable during the whole series.
Lotus (FUT) and Haven (VIT) were the scenarios in which this match between Vitality and FUT occurred.

Lotus
FUT demonstrated great power in its map pick, Lotus, with an impressive victory with a 13-4. However, in addition to demonstrating their great offensive power on this map, there were some defensive shortcomings on the part of Team Vitality, as the French team could only stop three attacks from the Turks. Due to this and incredible rounds from qw1 and ATA KAPTAN, FUT took a 9-3 partial victory.

In the change of sides, Team Vitality got around FUT’s defense in the five rounds played, but they could not hold the retake in the post-plan situation and conceded in four of these rounds. However, the Turks started very strong in the end with a 13-4 victory.
Dominant victory on Lotus by @FUTesportsgg! 🔥

Haven
In Haven, we had a match just as we had expected from the start, with a lot of balance and Team Vitality pushing trying to get the win. However, they again showed a somewhat weak defense and ended up losing with a score of 10-13.
In the first half, FUT Esports had some problems in the first seven rounds, as Jokūbas “ceNder” Labutis started very inspired. However, they reacted to win the last five rounds to take a 7-5 partial victory. Once again, qw1 was wreaking havoc with their opponents everywhere on the map.

FUT Esports started the second half by winning the first two rounds, which could have been a big blow to Vitality. But it was quite the opposite, as with a spectacular round by Poland’s Michał “MOLSI” Łącki the team was still alive in the series.

With the score 10-9 in favor of Team Vitality, we all thought the decisive map would be played. However, that was not on the minds of the Turks, who hit back by winning four consecutive rounds to take the map victory with a score of 13-10.
