The emotions of the VCT EMEA League 2023 continue, and we have Fnatic continuing to demonstrate their excellent level of play and that, today, they are one of the best VALORANT teams in the world. On the other hand, we have that NaVi applied the same dose and managed to inflict the third defeat of the tournament to BBL Esports.

With these results, Fnatic (3-0) is now alone at the top of the table, while NaVi climbs to equal second place with FUT Esports and Team Vitality.

NaVi delivers third blow to BBL Esports

The Ukrainian squad put on a power display against the Turks to earn an excellent 2-0 victory to kick off the second day of Week 2 action.

The series was played at Ascent (BBL Esports) and Fracture (NaVi).

Ascent

NaVi and BBL treated us to an extremely exciting and vibrant match in Ascent, as both teams showed a great level and excellent determination throughout the map. However, NaVi managed an excellent 13-10 victory thanks to a clutch by Pontus “Zyppan” Eek.

The first half in Ascent did not disappoint; BBL started with a great pace of play and managed to win the first four rounds. Then, NaVi woke up and got closer to the score of 4-5. Finally, thanks to a spectacular round by Mehmet “cNed” İpek, the Ukrainian side could even score 6-6.

In the second half, NaVi started on the right foot, winning three of the first four rounds (9-7). As it happened in the first half, but this time, on the contrary, BBL woke up and got 10-9 ahead on the scoreboard, thanks to a very good 3K by Doğukan “QutionerX” Dural.

Finally, NaVi hit the table and won the remaining four rounds to take the victory 13-10.

Fracture

In Fracture, we experienced a spectacular first half, as NaVi won five of the first six rounds contested on the attacking side. However, BBL Esports applied the same dose at that time of the match and also won five of the last six rounds to end the first half with a score of 6-6.

In the second half, it was all different, as NaVi showed a defensive power that they had not shown so far in the series. The Ukrainian team dominated so much that the Turks could only win two rounds on the attacking side. As a result, NaVi took a 13-8 victory, thanks to Dmitry “SUYGETSU” Ilyushin, who finished with 178 ADR and a 1.74 Rating on the defensive side.

Fnatic shows absolute supremacy and crushes Team Heretics

The VCT LOCK//IN Sao Paulo 2023 champions showed why they are considered one of the best in the world by crushing Team Heretics 2-0.

The Fnatic and Team Heretics series was played at Icebox (FNC) and Ascent (TH).

Icebox

Fnatic’s dominance began in their map pick, Icebox, as Nikita “Derke” Sirmitev, with impressive stats of 260 ADR, 422 ACS, and 1.85 Rating, led his team to a comfortable 13-3 victory.

The first half began evenly matched, with two rounds for each team in the first four contested. However, the massacre began for Fnatic, who won 11 of the next 12 rounds to take an extremely comfortable 13-3 victory.

Ascent

While it is true that Team Heretics could show a little more resistance, this was not enough at the end of the match, and they ended up losing with a score of 6-11.

The first half was a very entertaining back-and-forth between these two teams, ending with a score of 7-5 in favor of Fnatic. Derke carried his team in this half with 238 ADR, 329 ACS, and a 1.26 Rating.

In the second half, Team Heretics was again the victim of an impenetrable defense by Fnatic. As a result, they managed to win only one of the seven disputed rounds and thus fell with the above score. Team Heretics stood out Ričardas “Boo” Lukaševičius, who, with 119 ADR, 151 ACS, and a 1.06 Rating, could not do much to help his team against the black and orange beast.
