In recent days, the CS2 community has been very dismayed by what was happening with the hitbox of the game since it was a common and serious error, especially if we talk about the competitive facet.

However, after many content creators and professional players reported these errors, everything indicates Valve got the solution. As a result, the game developers released a last-minute update to correct this situation.

For those who play CS2, this is a frustrating and extremely important bug for the competitive scene. In many videos we observed how players were missing shots that, in reality, they should be hitting. However, it seems that everything has been fixed regarding this issue.

Valve releases new update to fix CS2 Hitbox issues

A few hours ago, Valve released a major update to CS2 where they mentioned that it “Fixed several hitbox alignment bugs.”

While it is true that it is common for Valve to release updates in the evenings and a row, this one was strange and late, as it came very late at night. However, this is excellent news for everyone and even more so, considering that the CS2 competitive scene at the professional level is very close to the start.

In this CS2 patch, we have that the hitbox of the characters was corrected, and there is no doubt that everyone in the community can’t be happier. In addition, this is not the first time it has happened to a Valve title. Let’s remember that CS:GO happened in different opportunities, so Valve has experience solving it.

The community’s concern caught the attention of the developers

Valve took action almost immediately, thanks to the uproar and, above all, the concern of casual and professional players. In addition, we must remember that the first major CS2 tournament, the IEM Sydney 2023, will be played in the coming days, so this was a problem that Valve had to solve as soon as possible.

Similarly, it is fair to mention that it is not known if this update applies to all hitboxes in the game. However, it is a great step on the part of the developers the time to fix this terrible problem.

Similarly, these are not the only bugs Valve fixes in the latest update. It also highlights that bugs are corrected concerning the “Looking To Play” system and the “speed” with which a knife rotates when inspecting it.
