Undoubtedly, the longest-running debate is about which game is better between VALORANT and CS:GO. For all of us who have played both titles, we have our conclusions and the pros and cons. However, it’s always good to have the opinion of a well-known personality in the scene, like the founder and CEO of the popular North American esports organization 100 Thieves, Matthew “Nadeshot” Haag.

Since the launch of VALORANT in 2020, many in the esports community mentioned that it would shatter the throne that CS:GO has been on since 2012. As a result, different comparisons and opinions about which game is better began to emerge. Moreover, every detail was analyzed, from the game mechanics to the existing bugs.

Nadeshot says CS:GO is “harder” than VALORANT

In one of the latest podcast episodes on the official 100 Thieves YouTube channel, Nadeshot talked about different topics regarding his organization and esports in general. Also, the comparison between VALORANT and CS:GO was not among the questions and answers planned in the podcast, but the CEO of 100T skipped the script to make the conversation much more interesting.

As with most of this 100T podcast on YouTube, Nadeshot was expected to talk about different topics regarding 100T in its different divisions. In addition, we all thought that Nadeshot would only make his comments regarding VALORANT’s new Agent Deadlock. However, he completely skipped the planning and gave his opinion about this discussion.

While this is admittedly an over an hour-long episode, it is worth watching in its entirety when you have some time on your hands. In one section of the podcast, Nadeshot confessed that he returned to playing CS:GO after a long time, and it “made him realize” that Valve’s shooter is a much, much harder game than VALORANT.

In the past, Nadeshot referred to these two games as “the same” in terms of game mechanics. However, he backtracks and says they are completely different games and hails that it is the same “beast” but “different” animals.

So which is better CS:GO or VALORANT?

The correct answer to this question we will not know today, tomorrow, and may never. Each player will always say that their favorite video game is better for them, i.e., CS:GO players will always say that Valve’s shooter is much better and VALORANT players the same. At the same time, each one has its pros and cons. Still, no one can deny that VALORANT has many similarities to CS:GO, and we cannot say that it is the other way around this situation, as Valve’s shooter has been on the market for more than a decade, while VALORANT is only three years old.

According to what Nadeshot said, he considers CS:GO much more complicated than VALORANT because of the mechanics and the difficulty of eliminating enemies. However, at another point in the podcast, Nadeshot also stated that this does not mean he likes VALORANT more because it is “easier” than CS:GO. Finally, the 100T CEO revealed he has a very special fondness for VALORANT and misses playing it.

The final part of the podcast was full of somewhat unexpected information. In the last few hours, many rumors about 100T’s possible return to the competitive CS scene with the arrival of CS2. However, Nadeshot said there are different reasons to believe that it is very unlikely to happen soon.
