Riot Games has recently revealed the VALORANT Patch 7.06 updates, with the aim of enhancing the player experience. Although the patch is relatively short, it includes a few crucial updates. One of them involves the optimization of the gun buddies and weapon skins animation, which will significantly reduce the load time. However, this patch will be released at a later time.

VALORANT Patch 7.06 updates

Here are all the updates and fixes that Riot Games introduced with patch notes 7.06.

Sage got more voice lines

Well, this shortest patch update only came with a few updates on only one agent, Sage. Some of Sage’s voice lines have been updated and she has provided with few more dialogues to interact with some other agents. Below is one of the hilarious interactions between Sage and Jett, The reference has been taken from the popular Valorant meme “Revive me sage”.

Jett says “So, Sage, when are you going to teach me how to revive people, huh?”. Replying to Jett, Sage says “Jett, you… That’s… not how radiants work… oh I see, you’re joking”. Isn’t it captivating? Riot seems to be keeping a close eye on all the trends that revolve around VALORANT.

Competitive updates

Probably the highlight of the patch updates is that to prevent cheating in competitive rankings, rules have been changed. The main issue that got attention here is rank boosting, where players tend to increase their rank with external help or using bots.

To tackle this, Now, only high-ranking players can invite others to their teams for competitive games. This means that players in the Ascendant category and above can only invite those with a Platinum rank or higher to join their party.

Apart from this, Riot will continue to actively monitor botting abuse and ban any accounts suspicious of this behaviour. Hopefully, these countermeasures can decrease ranks and boost cheat significantly as it is highly unlikely to completely eliminate this.

Furthermore, Riot said that they made some back-end updates for Combat Reports in order to fix instances where all the correct information wasn’t showing. You can now report if there are any weird behaviours—especially after death and pre-round start.

All bugs fixes

Although these bugs are relatively less noticeable and can be easily ignored, Riot Games still addresses them with quick fixes.

  • Fixed a rare bug where you would be revealed unintentionally in places where you shouldn’t be seen after purchasing a weapon.
  • Fixed an issue where the Spike plant and defuse UI bar did not appear for minimal HUD observers.
  • Fixed a bug where vision cones would flicker at the start of a round on Sunset.

That is all you need to know about the VALORANT Patch 7.06 patch notes. Keep an active eye on VALORANT’s official social handles to be updated on the game’s latest developments.
