While it is true that in recent weeks it seemed a fact TSM’s return to the competitive Counter-Strike scene, according to some reports in recent hours, everything would be in serious jeopardy since, apparently, there are some problems between the organization and the coach Rémy “XTQZZZ” Quoniam.

We all expected this news to become a reality sooner rather than later, and even more so considering the quality of the players that would make up the team’s roster. However, after the confirmation that XTQZZZ is withdrawing from the project, now everything indicates that the return of TSM might not be as close as we would have thought.

XTQZZZ withdraws from TSM’s Counter-Strike Project

According to a report from Blix and then confirmed by XTQZZZ on HLTV, the experienced French Head Coach is withdrawing from TSM’s Counter-Strike project.

On the other hand, reports also highlight that the project would be in danger of continuing to run since there are some problems between the players and the organization. According to Blix, TSM has not complied with the “verbal agreements” established with the players regarding economic and contract issues.

This may be a hard blow for the organization, especially for TSM fans, since the organization plans to return to the CS scene at the end of 2022. In addition, the lineup that the team would have in its return was leaked a few days ago, and even, it was highlighted that the players were already practicing together. Recall that this lineup supposedly consists of the following players:

  • Cai “CYPHER” Watson
  • Audric “JACKZ” Jug
  • Valdemar “valde” Vangså
  • Timofey “interz” Yakushin
  • Mădălin-Andrei “MoDo”‘ Mirea

TSM withdraws from CCT Online Finals 2

Reports in recent weeks indicated that TSM would officially return to the CS:GO scene at the CCT Online Finals 2, which kicks off next Wednesday, August 2, 2023. However, according to Dust2.us, the team withdrew from the tournament last July 29. Now, with the news that XTQZZZ is not part of TSM’s CS project and that it might fall apart completely, there is no doubt that we fully understand the reasons for withdrawing from the tournament.

According to Blix, sources point out that TSM would be considering changing their roster to make their dream comeback to the CS:GO competitive scene. The leakers insist that contractual problems are the main reason for this breakup.

Remember that TSM has been away from the CS:GO competitive scene since 2017, when they decided to dissolve the team after different problems regarding “player rights” with the team’s IGL at the time, Sean Gares.

For now, we can only wait for the organization to make an official statement to explain what happened or announce their new CS:GO lineup. However, this will take time, and we will continue to miss TSM’s Counter-Strike division.
