After TSM confirmed its departure from the LCS for the 2024 season, the North American organization revealed its LoL lineup for the Summer Split, and there is no doubt that they want to say goodbye in a big way.

TSM’s departure from the LCS is a major blow to the fans and, more importantly, to the North American League of Legends community. Undoubtedly, if one of the most important organizations in the scene decides to move on, everything seems to indicate that many problems would not be easy to solve.

It is still unclear what TSM’s fate will be in the 2024 season, although many points to them joining the LPL. However, the team wants to close its history within the LCS in style.

TSM confirm the lineup for the LCS Summer Split 2023

In what will be their last participation in an LCS Split, TSM announced their starting lineup for the Summer Split 2023 a few hours ago.

As we can see, TSM has decided to keep three of their players from their old lineup, Lee “Bugi” Seong-yeop, Jason “WildTurtle” Tran, and Johnathan “Chime” Pomponio. However, they have also confirmed all the rumors regarding the addition of former Team Heretics mid-laner Lee “Ruby” Sol-min and veteran American top laner Kevin “Hauntzer” Yarnell.

This announcement comes a few days after TSM CEO, Andy “Reginald” Dinh, announced via video that the organization would be leaving the LCS and looking for a spot in another Tier 1 league. In addition, many rumors point to TSM being in talks to join the LPL.

TSM had many changes in the Spring Split

For all of us who follow the LCS, we could notice how TSM had to make different changes throughout the Spring Split to find a roster that would take them on the road to victory. WildTurtle and Haunzter helped the team in the middle of the Split and helped the team show a great level of play. However, these two players were part of TSM’s Challengers team, which led the organization to eliminate their NACL development team.

Right now, TSM’s future is completely uncertain. While it is true that Reginald announced the imminent departure from the LCS, nothing is completely certain yet, let alone which league they will be able to join. In addition, it is also unknown what will happen to the players that currently make up the team’s lineup. That is, they could play under the name of the organization that buys their place in the LCS or leave with the organization to a new league.

One way or another, TSM will have to play the next LCS Summer Split 2023, starting on June 1, 2023, and the team’s first match will be against Team Liquid.
