It is a surprise to everyone that, Neither God of War Ragnarok nor Elden Ring top the lists of the most downloaded and purchased games in Europe.

Top PlayStation Store Downloads of 2022
Last week Sony revealed the top PS4 and PS5 PlayStation Store downloads for the whole of 2022. However, even Sony itself has admitted that:
“Blockbusters rubbed shoulders with great indie titles, but even in a blockbuster year, there are a few surprises where some old classics snuck into the charts.”
It is essential to comment on something very striking. The PS5 list triumphs considerably more Sony exclusives than the PS4 itself.
It is worth noting that the PlayStation 5 has sold around 30 million units, while the previous console sold approximately 116 million units worldwide. In addition, popular games such as FIFA 23 and Modern Warfare 2 are a success, which is not surprising. On the other hand, the GOTY title of 2022 has placed 4th on PS5 and 9th on PS4.
