The redline skin will have a new version for CS2

For all of us who have been in the world of CS:GO since its launch, talking about the first skins fills us with nostalgia. At that time, having that specific skin filled us with pride and gave us an extra touch of personality within the game.

The redline skin, specifically from the AWP, was one of the most desired skins by players many years ago, as it was one of the first skins created for an AWP. However, after several years in “darkness,” this skin will have a new version for CS2. As a result, this is an excellent way to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the arrival of the skins to Counter-Strike.

Through a post on Reddit, EmKay, the official creator of the AWP | Redline, shared the new version of the skin that will be used in CS2. Besides being a classic and beautiful design, the community quickly thanked and supported this skin creator.

After seeing the publication, many players shared their thoughts and even mentioned wanting to change their classic AWP | Redline for this new version in case Valve decides to add it to the game at launch.

However, like other users on Reddit, if we detail the design of this new AWP | Redline, we can realize that it would be a fusion between the Redline and the Asiimov, two of the most iconic skins for AWP in the history of CS:GO. We don’t know if that was EmKay’s intention, but everyone has loved this new design.

On the other hand, another user on Reddit told EmKay that he was “a legend” and that if Valve added the skin to CS2, he wouldn’t hesitate to purchase it.

For those who don’t know, the AWP | Redline came to our beloved CS:GO in the Winter Offensive Collection at the end of 2013. Since then, this AWP skin has become one of the most popular in the game and is even currently used by Brazilian legend Gabriel “FalleN” Toledo. Other designers are working to create CS2 skins

In addition to EmKay, many other skin creators are working to showcase their new designs for the CS2 release. Since June, different creators have been able to include CS2 skins in the game’s limited test, while Luiza McAllister and Thiago Lehmann showed skins of the Zeus-x27 and Desert Eagle, respectively.

EmKay’s new AWP | Redline design is fabulous, but this does not mean it will be in the game in the future. Skin creators should include their designs in the Workshop and hope Valve will consider them for an official release.

With the number of skins and talents, there is a very complex competition. However, it is worth noting that since Valve and EmKay have collaborated over the years, you may have a better chance of the new AWP | Redline being in CS2.
