In its eagerness to update its titles, Epic Games always seeks to optimize its battle pass and how players gain experience.

But naturally, some changes have greater receptivity than others. It can even be a problem for those players who can play only a few times per season.

Change in the missions

Last December, Epic Games changed how weekly missions are done. Every seven days, a new update of the weekly quests is available.

Previously, a complete list of missions was displayed, where players could go to complete the missions at any time during the season. However, for chapter four, this has been replaced with a rotating set of time-limited missions. This presents players with a significant inconvenience.

Via Reddit, one user shared their dissatisfaction with the game via an image, calling the new weekly mission system a “slap” in the face, using this season’s new consumable.

With these new changes, players have to spend more time in the game to get the whole experience of the weekly missions. To complete the previous week’s mission, players must log in before every Tuesday morning.

Whereas before the updates, fans could log in weekly if they wanted to and come back at any time to complete the missions.

What is Epic Games aiming for with these changes?

Those who wish to reach the highest battle pass levels must come back every week to complete all the challenges on time. This clearly indicates that Epic Games is motivated to attract more players and generate an increase in the number of weekly players.

All Fortnite Chapter 4 – Season 1 missions

Here’s a list of all the missions to complete in Fortnite Chapter 4 in order to get the highest levels of the battle pass:

  • Augmentations Tutorial: It is a set of missions thinking for players to learn everything about reality augmentations.
  • Exploration: Missions are available from the beginning of the season. Its objective is to introduce the players to the new island and the game mechanics.
  • Mid-Season: They allow us to obtain additional styles for several skins of the Battle Pass simply by leveling up.
  • The Order of the Oath: They allow us to learn more about the plot of the new season of the game.
  • Weekly Missions: If these missions are not completed on time, we will not be able to get the experience, as they will be replaced by others every week. A set of seven missions are available every Tuesday.
  • Limited Time: These missions and events will only be available for a limited time.
  • Daily: New daily missions are available at 14:00h CET. Completing each one will give us 1,000 Season EP; if we complete three each day, we will get an additional 45,000 EP.
  • Milestones: These are objectives that we can complete throughout the season. They perform recurring actions such as inflicting damage to opponents or healing.
