As we know, all the attention of the Dota 2 community is focused on the Lima Major. However, the enthusiasm and expectations for Dota 2 have not waned.

According to a post on its official blog, Valve will release the next Dota 2 update after the Lima Major 2023. This means Dota 2 patch 7.33 will be available from next March 6, 2023.

Information shared by a spokesperson on Twitter

While the information is posted on the official Dota 2 blog, there is no doubt that it is written so that no one would see it. This essential information is written in the last paragraph of the blog, and, moreover, they do not reveal any details, simply that the new update will arrive on March 6.

However, the well-known Dota 2 spokesperson, Wykrhm Reddy, was in charge of letting the community know about this great news.

The information posted on the official Dota 2 blog reads:

“Once the Major champions receive their crown, and the tour comes to an end, we’ll be counting down the days to reveal our next update on March 6.”

Apparently, an update to the test client contained new leaked items. However, some may not debut, as they could also include upgrades, new neutral assets, and even event placeholders.

After such a long wait, fans will no doubt be eager to meet a new hero revealed almost six months ago.

Dead is coming to Dota 2 in this new patch?

During The International 2022 in Singapore last year, the new Hero coming to the Dota 2 universe, Muerta, was revealed. The release date, according to Valve, was “early 2023” for the Day of the Dead-inspired Hero. Now, this is very likely to become a reality.

According to the timeline Dota 2 has regarding the release of the new patch, it is very likely that Muerta, its new Hero, will arrive in the March 6 update. Now, if this does not happen this way, it is likely that we will see the Hero sooner than expected.

After the introduction to the game Primal Beast in February last year, Muerta may be the first Hero released by Valve in over a year. Undoubtedly, this wait for a new hero has been the longest by the Dota 2 community.

Since August 2022, Dota has only received minor fixes after patch 7.32. However, the next Dota 2 patch is expected to include significant changes to the meta, such as new maps.
