Rumors swirl in the VALORANT Champions Tour competitive scene as we enter the offseason. Likewise, we go again to South America, as the VCT Americas teams are making different changes to improve their participation for the next VCT season.

In this opportunity, we have that different rumors and reports in the last hours place Ian “tex” Botsch, former player of The Guard, in the radar of Leviatán facing the VCT 2024. In addition, the reports highlight that the North American player would have reached a verbal agreement with the South American organization despite the “language barrier.”

Remember that Leviatán is a team formed by Argentinean and Chilean players; therefore, communication is 100% in Spanish. However, if this move goes through, it remains to be seen if Tex will start taking Spanish classes or if the team will switch to English.

Reports state that Tex has verbally agreed to join Leviatán for VCT 2024

According to a report by Alejandro Gomis of Blix.gg, former Guard player Tex has reportedly agreed to join Leviatán for VCT 2024.

On the other hand, this also confirms that The Guard’s lineup will not stay together completely in its transition to G2 Esports since, as we know, G2 will occupy the VCT Americas slot that The Guard should have occupied after winning the VCT Ascension 2023.

There is no doubt that, if this news is confirmed, it would be a great challenge for Tex since, besides playing at the highest competitive level in the VCT Americas League, he will have to adapt to new teammates and a new language. On the other hand, Leviatán could use a player with winning blood since their 2023 season was not very good, as far as we can tell.

Other signings

Similarly, in the last few hours, it was also confirmed that Leviatán would also have an agreement to sign former LOUD superstar Erick “aspas” Santos ahead of VCT 2024.

Finally, we have Matias “Saadhak” Delipetro confirming via his personal Twitter/X account that he renewed his contract with LOUD for two more seasons as part of a lineup restructuring ahead of next season.
