Team Vitality Closing In On BIG Top Laner “SLT”

If the latest rumours are to be believed, Team Vitality is close to being in a position to announce the signing of top laner Enzo “SLT” Gonzales. Currently on the books of Berlin International Gaming (BIG), SLT would become Vitality’s starting LEC top laner, replacing Danish rookie Mathias “Szygenda” Jensen.

Szygenda made his LEC debut for the team back in January, before helping Vitality in securing a 10th place finish at the Spring Split. However, he now looks set to make the switch to Vitality Bee, the academy lineup of the French organization. The team currently competes in the La ligue Francaise European Regional League.

When Can We Expect SLT’s Announcement to be Confirmed?

While Team Vitality has yet to comment on the potential roster change, it now appears likely that an official announcement will be made sooner rather than later. It could well be that Vitality confirm additional changes when doing so, with the mid lane position believed to be up for grabs. The midseason period opens on May 24, so we should not have to wait long for further news.

SLT’s current team, BIG, were victorious in the ERL Prime League Pro Division, winning the title back in March thanks to a 3-1 success over mousesports in the finals. The Frenchman is regarded as one of the top amateur top laners in Europe today, along with compatriot Adam “Adam” Maanane, who plays for Karmine Corp.

Why Vitality Has Made Serious Changes of Late

Vitality has certainly shown little mercy over recent weeks, with head coach Hadrien “Duke” Forestier having been let go. Former Vitality Bee head coach Mateusz “Tasz” Borkowski was named as his replacement shortly after. Such dramatic changes came about following Vitality’s disappointing showing in the spring, where they finished with a 5-13 record.

The current Team Vitality League of Legends roster is made up by Szygenda, jungler Duncan “Skeanz” Marquet, mid laner Aljosa “Miljca” Kovandzic, Markos “Comp” Stamkopoulos, bot laner Jus “Crownshot” Marusic and support Labros “Labrov” Papoutsakis.
