Team Falcons now has a Dota 2 team

Team Falcons was acquired by Saudi Arabia and almost immediately, they started to build a world-class Counter-Strike 2 team. They’re in the process of signing players for that team and are trying to become one of the best organizations in this prestigious esport.

But there a short while ago, rumors started to circulate that they won’t stop there. And now, everything has been confirmed. Team Falcons has built a strong Dota 2 roster that has the potential to be one of the best in the game. This is also great news for Dota 2’s professional scene.

Saudi Arabia would not have made this move if they thought that Dota 2 had no future. Clearly, ESL will likely start to step in more firmly next year and assume Valve’s former responsibilities. The calendar year is almost completely empty at the moment, so the opportunities are numerous for companies like ESL, PGL, Perfect World, BLAST, and others.

Team Falcons’ roster

The players who will compete for Team Falcons are well-known and among the world’s best. The names speak for themselves:

• ATF
• Cr1t-
• Sneyking

The only one on this list who isn’t yet famous is Malr1ne. He used to play for low-tier EEU organizations but individually, he’s phenomenal. At just 19, his MMR is above 12.000, which is a spectacular achievement.

The other four players don’t really need an introduction. Skiter used to compete for Tundra Esports and won The International 2022. Sneyking was also on that team, serving as its captain and position 5 player. He will be instrumental in Falcons’ success.

ATF is one of the strongest offlaners in the world, so his presence should boost the other players’ morale. He often makes original moves and uses original builds, carrying his team from the offlane.

Cr1t- spent many years playing for Evil Geniuses and then Shopify Rebellion. He’s one of the best position 4 players in the world and knows exactly what to do in every situation. The only thing he needs is a good captain and a cohesive roster.

Individually, he’s almost flawless in every game he plays. His MMR is above 12.000, which puts him in a very special category of Dota 2 players.

The potential of this roster is phenomenal. However, in Dota 2 potential isn’t everything. Plenty of teams failed despite having formidable players. Time will tell if Falcons’ case will be better.
