T1 have announced the departure of both Junyoung “Revi” Shin and Kang “Vamos” Sang-eun from its Rainbow Six Siege team. The organization parted company with the duo following a disappointing showing at the APAC North Stage 1, where they failed to earn a single point.

The team will now be in the market for two new players, which is the maximum that can be signed during the mid-season transfer window. Signing additional players would lead to T1 losing its top-flight license. Revi joined T1 as a “non-official coach” initially, following the org’s acquisition of the OhHamMa roster.

Why Revi & Vamos Have Been Let Go

However, Revi was unveiled as an official player just five days later, following the departure of Kim “Demic” Daeyeong. However, along with Vamos, Revi will now be looking for a new team. T1 failed to gain a single point from seven APAC North matches, with the team having made changes in an attempt to save its season.

In total, T1 had four players ranked in the bottom four in Stage 1. Vamos was the third-worst player in the entire league statistically, with an average rating of just 0.72. This was only bettered slightly by Revi, who had a rating of 0.75. Vamos joined T1 as a stand-in for “SCARZ” at the Korean Open initially, where the team finished 5th-6th.

Who Will Replace the Duo at T1?

It is believed that ex-Cloud9 pro Lee “Neilyo” Inyup and former SCARZ player Minho “CrazyBoy” Choi have been lined by T1 to replace Revi and Ramos. No official announcement has been made in this area however. However, the org has announced that Varun “VBM” Bir Mohindra has also left the team, with the coach having joined Parabellum Esports as an analyst.

The transfer window remains shut for now, however this does not mean that T1 cannot announce new arrivals. T1 recorded a fifth place finish in the Spring 2021 regular season, behind three other APAC North teams, including eventual winners SGA eSports.
